i've heard that they last as long if not longer than foam puppets. they seem to be sturdier, and easier to keep clean. but again...i dunno. i've never made one. sculpting is something i've done, but not the mold making/latex pouring part. we'll see.

so after looking at some of the puppets on axtell's website, and reading the recent thread created by Iokitek (Looking for some good links on building puppets), i decided to go ahead and post this. have any of you builders had much success with latex puppets? pictures would be great if you...

man...since we had my daughter i've totally been stuck in a puppet-making-rut. i have a few ideas (still want to finish that "recycled" puppet), but alas...no time. what do you guys do when you get stuck in a building rut? maybe not even due to time...maybe because of writer's block, etc.

so the other day i decided to use bits of foam that i had left over from another puppet i made to make a new puppet. the head looks pretty cool so far...i just glued 1-2 inch thick strips of foam on top of each other until the head was formed. so that's part one. the next part is where i'm...

thanks all. and no...she doesn't ever feel remorse. since the blanket, she's chewed on a few comforters, a sweater, some bills, etc, etc, etc. if she wasn't so cute, i'd have a puppet made from dog fur. :halo:

hey all...the children's church that i work with made a promotional poster, and they included a shot of one of my puppets. go here or here. they're both the same poster, but the second one has my puppet highlighted. it's nothing fancy, but it was my first completed puppet and i'm pretty proud of...
