This might be the Mandela effect, but I could have sworn I read somewhere that Richard Hunt wanted to perform his characters (Scooter, Statler, Janice, and Beaker) for the Muppets Christmas Carol but that he couldn't due to being severely ill. Does anyone know if this is true?
Was Hunt aware...
I think even if Sesame Street were to end, it would still live on in yearly specials or talk show appearances. But, yeah, I have to agree. The show is a sad shell of what it used to be. Gone are the days of hilarious Bert & Ernie skits or Fat Blue and Grover. The 50th Anniversary special would...
I am selling the original 1988 VHS copy of Big Bird's Favorite Party Games. The case has some wear, but it is ultimately in good condition. You can bid in the Ebay listing below or use the "Buy it Now" option if you want to quickly get it for yourself.

RIP to Tony Bennet, he is the first guest star of season one of Muppets Tonight to pass away. Season 2 guest star Prince was the first to pass away altogether, followed by Don Rickles and Coolio (they co-starred in the same episode).
Very helpful list. Sad to see only 1/3 of the season 3 guest stars remain. It feels like the muppet show guest stars have been dying more than usual. RIP to Harry, Glenda, and Alan.
Digit would have made a good fit for Muppet Haunted Mansion but they clearly have no intention of bringing him back, especially since Dave Goelz is still around but they still won't bother.
Rest in peace to Harry Belafonte. His episode is a classic, sad to see him go. The list of living Muppet Show guest stars continues to shrink at a depressing rate.
I'm happy for Peter but it sucks that Steve was fired just a few years before he would have gotten the opportunity to finally be in a project where Lips has a prominent role, after playing the character for 35 years with no more than a handful of lines here and there.
I definitely agree. They've toned the characters down over the years, mostly due to Disney taking away the edge of the Muppets and the new performers not having the same chemistry. The problem is, their appearances on The Muppet Show that didn't involve them performing were so far and few that...
This definitely looks promising and you can tell the effort is really there (as opposed to something like Muppets Now). I'm honestly happy there's no Kermit because I'm still having trouble with Vogel's performance but I'm hoping there will be more muppets included than just the band. Maybe they...

This is exactly how I feel. I still use streaming quite a bit but I also collect physical media because you never know when episodes of a show, or a show as a whole, will be removed from a service for a wide number of different reasons. Of course, in the case of Sesame, most of these old...
that's very interesting, i'd rather have the opening cut then bits from the show but still not a fan of when they remove parts of a show to make room for more ads.
Racism or not, whoever was in the costume should have either high-fived every kid or not done high-fives at all. There's no reason they should be excluding anyone.
Late response but this reminded me of how my teacher in kindergarten would always put in a Between the Lions VHS tape for us to watch after recess ended. It was on one of those TVs that were attached to the corner of the ceiling.
I usually put Holey Moley on in the background and glance every once in a while when the muppet parts appear. From what I can tell, they probably only make up about a fifth of the episodes at best. Not surprised but kinda ridiculous given how much they advertised that the muppets were being...
