What they were saying was not to put any movement on the top at all, which looked super unnatural. When I puppeteer, I generally move the top a bit. Also, keeping the top of the mouth still is almost impossible in characters that I have like Milligan, whose mouthplate is very flexible. Thanks...
So, a couple of years ago, I was in a puppet ministry at my former church, and of course, with there being people who had never even touched a puppet in their lives, the instructors (two nice old ladies), had to teach the newcomers the basics of puppetry.
The first thing they started on was...
Razor: Do you want the good tea or the bad tea?
Bill: What's the difference?
Razor: I call one good, one bad.
Bill: Er, I'll take the good one.
Razor: Excellent. Positive attitude. Will help with the horror to come.
Bill: What horror?
Razor: Mainly the tea. :smirk:

Yes, I have in fact. Been in a couple of musicals and plays namely, Alice In Wonderland, Madagascar the Musical, and 13 the Musical. I've mostly done acting, but I want to get into the more behind the scenes stuff.

Don't know if anyone else noticed this, but I've noticed that Jerry Nelson had a very distinguishable style of puppeteering, specifically in Gobo and Robin the Frog, but also in the Count and Herry Monster.
I don't really know how to describe it except it seems like he is moving the mouth less...
The ultimate thread for the big debate: film or theatre?
So, do you prefer the lively and spontaneous performances of the theatre? Or are you more of a movie buff?
Post your thoughts below.
It was an old Sesame Newsflash sketch, which somehow he got cloned probably from another character's machine or something. The clone was only in one sesame skit, not a recurring character. Look it up on Muppet Wiki if you are curious about it.
Yeah, I joined in November and my account was finally confirmed a few days ago. But it seemed that other members' accounts were confirmed as well, some of which joined over the summer!
For some reason, I either have really really weird trippy dreams or no dreams at all. I haven't had a bad dream in like 7 years and haven't had a good dream in... a while, lol.
One particular morbid dream that I remember having that was occurring was Big Bird, the Count, Cookie Monster, Ernie...
