Wow, this thread is older than I remembered, yet it's still relevant to today...
Matter of fact, in the past month alone, I've witnessed three occasions involving the "no shirt, no shoes, no service" being broken... one involved a guy in the laundromat doing his laundry without a shirt... of...
Bo Peep seems to be a better match for Woody anyway... or at least I think so... a cowboy and a shepherdress? Yeah, it makes perfect sense.
And now, for some pwness vintage Potato Head commercials...

You realize that's not Kermit in those last two pics, right?
Either way, I doubt water could cause too much damage to a puppet... after all, water is odorless and colorless, it'd probably be a matter of giving the puppet a good dry-off after it's been in the water. Probably the same with snow...
There's two things about the Potato Heads of my generation that I wish were different...
1. Like in the Toy Story movies, I wish they made them with separate eyes and feet/shoes... then you could've really made really wacky faces and such (I feel bad for not being able to see Toy Story 3 yet...
We need a thread for Hollywood's spuddliest stud... er... studdliest spud... er, whatever.
Either way, Mr. Potato Head's been a part of our lives for the past few decades, not just as a favorite childhood toy, but as quite the character in entertainment, whether appearing in the Toy Story...
It seems to me that many of the Muppeteers use different puppets than what we're used to seeing for such appearances... and you're right, this particular Kermit does look a little different: it appears to me that his eyes are a little closer together than usual.
I believe that's pretty much the case as you mentioned - so as to not complicate the credits, and when you do have a variety/sketch show with multiple/several writers, they usually list all of the series' writers (for that season) alphabetically, though there's usually a separate credit for a...
Again, I AM a producer myself.
Really, my only apprehension regarding joining any union is that it seems like there's union strikes ALL THE TIME, and as such, if you're part of the union, you have to stop working so you can partake in the strike... and if you don't work, you don't get paid...
Several people have urged me to join a union for being in the entertainment industry, some saying I should join SAG (Screen Actor's Guild) and/or DGA (Director's Guild of America).
I've been thinking, however, for someone like mean, who's not only a puppeteer, but a producer who does almost...
Of course I've been watching SST for 21 years now, and after all these years of watching, including the old school era, I JUST now noticed something that I bet others haven't noticed before either...
We all know through the 70s into the early 90s, there was a brick wall behind Big Bird's nest...
Yes, a salesman in an earlier commercial DID use a fox handpuppet instead of showing the customers the carfax, BUT newer commercials use a fox puppet as their mascot: usually, he'll pop up during the deal and prompt the customer to say "Yeah, show me the carfax"; the commercial usually ends with...
Has anyone besides me noticed the increase in television puppetry used in commercials as of late?
Previously, they had been few and far between, like the Barnone dog, the Fandango bag puppets, and even the Hungry monster from Weight Watchers... but now, puppets are popping up more and more in...
A couple more...
Page 255, in the section regarding the German co-production Sesamstrasse, there are photos of the original Pino puppet, as well as his original performer... Pino is from the Dutch co-production - Sesamstraat.
Page 268 says "Jim was very supportive of licensing the...
Okay, something is SERIOUSLY NOT RIGHT here, get a load of this weirdo whom I just received a Llama Badge from...

So, he just joined this week, only has five deviations uploaded, and hasn't favorited anything... BUT, he has 26,000+ page views, 130+ points...
Before I could tell the difference, sometimes I wouldn't be sure as to whether I was hearing the opening strands of "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" by Eurhymics or "Sunglasses at Night" by Corey Hart.
As far as I'm concerned...
The Office = very boring TV
The Big Bang Theory = never watched, but my mom swears it's hilarious
How I Met Your Mother = I've seen it in pieces... seems like another typical mind-numbing sitcom we have today
Community = Never heard of it
24 = Never watched...
One similar problem I've faced, and I too am positive it's an error/glitch in their department, is that I'll favorite something, and it doesn't actually show up in my favorites when I browse, BUT, there's a 50/50 chance it'll show up in my Random Favorites module on my profile. Go figure...
