I used to have a Golden Book of that one. What I liked was that while Ernie was fooling around with those disguises, Bert was reading a book called boring stories.
"Wow, these boring stories are really exciting." Talk about oxymorons. Lol.

I didn't catch that one. I hope they start to show it more often. Maybe someone will put it on the MS-NBC site like they did with the Mastercard commercial.

Yep. I remember both of those that were mentioned. In fact Bert and Ernie sketches are probably the one's I remember the most since they played a lot of them when I watched the show in the 80s, the 90s too, for that matter. I remember even after Jim Henson died, you still heard his...

Hmm. I don't know if I remember seeing that one. It sounds like a good one though. There was also one where Ernie wanted to play a game where Bert had to guess how he was feeling. Then it was Bert's turn. Then Bert got angry because he didn't want to play. Ernie thought he was...

I remember a lot of those. It's funny how Grover used to always torture Kermit. Let's see. There was one tried to sell him toothpaste or something, so he put false teeth on Kermit. I'll try to come up with more of them. I didn't even know they still played those sketches on "Play...

Yeah, that one was good. I don't have that episode, but they show clips of that one in the Brian Henson intros. It would be nice to hear the whole song.

Hmmm. I liked the one with Dom DeLouise in that Monster Daycare place. I also liked the sketch in which Luncheon Counter Monster ate the computer. You could check out the kemitage.com site for some monster pics.

Hmmm. No news about Frank still doing Bert? Well, I guess Frank's Bert is heard in those "Journey to Ernie" skits and there aren't many new segments with him. Thanks for that info, Squirrel.
Since we talked about the opening numbers for The Muppet Show, let's make a thread for the best closing numbers:
My favorites were:
"You are My Lucky Star" Star Wars
"I'm a Women" Racquel Welsh
"Don't Go Breaking My Heart" Elton John and of course
"Turn the World Around" Harry Belafonte...

Yeah. I've read about that early Vet's Hospital sketch being available on a CD. I thought of buying it, but I don't want to spend too much. Last year, my credit card sort of maxed out, so I want to be careful. Besides Timelife should send me the video with the Rita Moreno episode in a...

Yeah, the puppet show thing was cool. I still didn't catch the part where he said something about Miss Piggy's restraining order. Maybe, they edited out that part in my area or something. It was funny when Brad Garrett was talking about sleeping with pigs though.

That's what I was thinking of doing, after I receive the complete collection from Timelife. It seems episodes of the show are so hard to find these days. I'm glad Timelife includes the Rita Moreno and Juliet Prowse episodes from season 1.

Sorry, Scooter. I've never really had foreign girls flirt with me so I wouldn't know.
I might not be in tonight to see the show, so I'll have to get my VCR set up to see what Kermit says about Miss Piggy's restraining order. If you've seen it in the morning, please don't give...

I agree. Tricking someone into performing worked with Gene Kelly. Maybe the Star Wars cast wasn't as gullible.
I'm sorry, Barry. I don't quite understand your game. I mean, you did a good job with it and all, it's just that I'm not sure what to do. I'd feel better about it if more...

That's right. How could I have forgotten "Mahna Mahna?" I know I don't have that one on video, but I have heard it and it is a very popular one. By the way, Beau, in answer to your question, I don't know if they have wav files of that "Rama Lama Ding Dong Song," but it is in volume 2...
