Well, according to Muppet Wiki, Bye Bye Pacifire will include street scenes involving Elmo giving up his pacifire, Abby Cadabby's tricycle, and Baby Bear's first haircut (interestingly, that's a pre-format change episode, from season 30. I wonder how that'll be handled). I also read that the...
What I had in mind was a made-for-TV movie, and only if it gets canceled before a proper finale can be done. I doubt it'll be canceled (the show is still as perfect as it was when it began), but you never know.
If How I Met Your Mother ever gets cancled before we meet the mother, I'd like a two-hour movie in which we see Ted meet the mother, going from their first meet to their marriage (I wonder if the creators plan on ending the show with Ted meeting her or if it'll end with the marriage)...
Does the website have some kind of bug? It seems like certain sketches that were added last may no longer show up in search, including the two aristotle clips and the Bruno clips added (the only Bruno clip showing up in a search for that character is the "Bruno & The Trashmen" clip that's been...
On The Muppet Show, there were only a few shots of the audience tapped, reused whenever a shot of the audience was needed. In some cases, they are shown singing to whatever song is being performed (maybe it's just me but the lip-synch doesn't look too bad regardless of the song). Sometimes, a...
I wonder if those plush reported at Toy Fair 2010 are still coming, or if these plush are them. They don't look entirely like the puppets, but most of them are good likenesses.
Wow. This is the best trailer yet. Even though it contains a lot of footage obviously not in the film (like the Pepe scenes).
It's interesting; At first, Pepe was hardly in any of the posters, promotional images, or trailers, many were concerned that he wouldn't, and now it seems like he's...
I was looking at the Muppet Central collectibles guide, and there was a PVC of Mad Monty and Polly Lobster (sculpted together) released in spain in 1996.
I've only bought The Junior Movie Novel, but I've looked at the other books in the store a few times, especially the early readers. In Meet the Muppets, when Kermit gets the others back together, most of those circumstances seem to take place in just one page (though Gonzo's and I think Piggy's...
I hope there'll be some surprises beyond what's been announced. Of course I'm not a member and don't have the money or time to travel to the event anyway. I wonder if anybody here (or at Tough Pigs) will be attending.
I noticed that Elmo's name is labeled, but it looks like that part may have been written on it years later, after Elmo's name was established.
In Caroll Spinney's autobiography, he said that the Elmo puppet was around in an early season and called Baby Monster, then was put in storage for many...
I've found that there's supposed to be an event on November 17 which is only available to D23 members, showcasing some Muppet merchandise, including new t-shirts, limited artwork, skate decks, and Vinylmation. Info here...
First of all, I don't see what's so wrong with Kermit living in a mansion (and the junior novel provides a reasonable reason I won't mention here). And second of all.... Most of the things on that list I don't find bad at all (and certainly not worse than living in a mansion).
The only things...
The Moopets come off a bit creepy, but that's proably the intent. I find them especially creepy in the poster, where they are for the most part hidden among the big amount of Muppets. And also, whoever did the photoshopping made a mistake; The Moopet resembling Janice is at the bottom, going up...
I never thought of those examples from GMC and MTM as bathroom humor. The one from GMC takes place in a bathroom and involves characters impatiently needing to use the bathroom, but I never saw that as bathroom humor (and I don't find the scene too funny). And in MTM, I thought them thinking the...
If we get any direct-to-video Muppet productions, I hope they're more like the direct-to-video stuff we've gotten in the past (the Playhouse videos, Play-Along Videos, Sing-Alongs, and Muppet Classic Theater), and not really a movie. Though I'd want more of the core characters involved; Pretty...
I was a little shocked by the way it ended, though it still provides a happy ending, in a way. If the movie ends differently then I'll mention what happends in the book after it comes out (assuming nobody else does first).
