    Ernie & Bert

OK, time to cite precedent: Compare them to other comedy duos, the "straight man" is almost always named first Also think of the rhythm of the duo names. They start with a short, smooth sound and then towards the end have rising and lowering tones with different emphasis on different...

    Custom-made Little People

These could well have been posted here before, but it never hurts to refresh your minds about the passion that some people have for the Muppets, for their toy collections, and for their belief in the fact that certain characters can, should and will be immortalised as Fisher Price Little People...

Fun-4-All may produce Sesame Street Action Figures

Don't stop there; I want the game show playset; the TV studio with Guy as an accessory... btw a "Here is Your Life" book would be a potential GS accessory too and don't forget the sheet music with lyrics scribbled out because I'LL NEVER GET IT RIGHT... NEVER NEVER NEVER!!! Yes, but not...

    SS books---are these 3 rare?

A Monster At The End Of This Book is the biggest-selling SS book ever, and is forever in print. I remember another SS scratch 'n' sniff book called See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Smell No Evil, but I have no memory of its content other than the s'n's stickers in it. One ultra-rare book I...

    Sesame Street Live

Anyone been to see/taken their kids to see one of the SS Live stage shows in recent years? We've got one about to tour here in Australia, and I was just wondering if the recent shows had any nostalgic content in them, or if they only catered to the younger audience. I remember seeing a...

    Northern Calloway

Let's not forget that by the late 1980s, Northern Calloway's health was already failing, and his appearances on the street segments were limited to scenes in Hooper's Store. His retirement from the street was possibly already in sight (his final appearance was in fact when Gabi was born). It's...

    The Hatrack

As you may remember, on the Peter Ustinov episode of TMS, Peter came across a Hatrack, and Kermit pointed out that it was the show's writer... and under "written by" in the credits there was indeed a credit for "the hatrack" Now, I went to imdb.com, and to my horror I discovered that under...

How big was Kermit's role on Sesame Street?

There was a tendency in early season 30 to have a number of "crowd scenes" on the street. Classic characters would be seen populating the street as "extras" while Elmo, Baby Bear, Elmo, Telly, Elmo, Big Bird, Elmo, Snuffy, Elmo, Zoe, Elmo, Rosita, Elmo, Elmo, Elmo, Elmo and the other characters...

Synopsis for "Big Bird's Storytime" video please

An interesting moment that occurs in this video (which seems to have been produced within a few years of Mr Hooper's death), is that when Big Bird returns with the newspaper, he says that all he could get to read was a paper from Mr Hooper's store. You can hear him say "Mr L... Hooper", and it...

I think the 'bottlecap' is actually a 'clacker' I had a duck puppet like that when I was a kid... there was one of them in the top and one in the bottom. When the mouth was closed, and the two pieces hit, it made the clicking sound. My duck was consequently named 'Clacky Duck'

    Muppet musicals

Hi everyone, For my independent research project for my class on Musicals, I'm focusing on puppet musicals -which, it seems, is limited to Muppet movies and Little Shop of Horrors... unless somebody can point something else out to me. Did Meet The Feebles have songs in it? Anyway, Muppet...

    "The Frog Factory"

does anybody remember the early '70s Disney anthology series The Mouse Factory? For those unfamiliar with it, in a nutshell, a celebrity would "clock in" to the Mouse factory, perform some schtick which would string together a load of old Disney material, with a particular theme for each...
