Yep, I think I got you confused with somebody else in this thread and I apologize. Happens all the time on message boards. I'll reread the whole thread when I have time and address the appropriate poster(s). I apologize for my reading abilities as well.
It's nice to see the reality and truth that puppetry is actually all about the money. Not. If somebody were to start up a competitive company using your knowledge, I could understand. But refusing to help a fan of puppets for recreational use only is mind boggling.
Give them advice on how to...
Great thread. I was just thinking of Northern the other day and how he used to be together with Maria as David on Sesame. When exactly did Luis come into the picture anyway? I was also wondering this the other day when I was thinking about Maria and David in Christmas Eve on Street. Has Luis...
Awesome email you sent, GelfingWaldo! You really put into words so eloquently what I could not. Thank you! But, but, BUT.....if they don't leave Kermit in The Christmas Toy DVD release, it would ruin the whole thing for me. Didn't they leave Kermit in the special in the Region 2 DVD release of...
"if you are just told how to do something i dont think u are really learning."
Then what is the point of going to school or college? Should we all just learn how to do whatever we want to do on our own? Do doctors and surgeons just figure it out on their own? Do plane mechanics just figure...
I just happened to pop in my old VHS tape with the Jim Henson Tribute on it and found that I had taped the 1990 Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade after Jim's tribute. What a great find. Funny thing is, I happened to get the explanation for the award he got in 1987 as Willard memorialized Jim during...
Is it just me or has it changed? I've been listening to muppet radio all night and whenever an Elmo piece comes on, I can barely stand it. How did Kevin Clash morph Elmo's voice into the way it is today without us noticing right away? I like the old Elmo voice.
The current Elmo voice sounds...
Yes, HIT! Entertainment! Not FUN! Entertainment, as fun as it may be! LOL! Thank you for posting the contact information! I really appreciate it! (Wow, lots of exclamation points in this post. ;) )
I did email them and got the same reply. Hopefully we can round up enough interest here and...
Awesome find! Is this site where you can watch the 80's Christmas commercials you were talking about? That would be so sweet to see that stuff again! Also, is this the parade where Kermit's arm tore on a light pole in the high winds? Remember that?
Once again, I have to remind everyone to ask for this on Region 1 DVD. I believe FUN! Entertainment(Do I have that right?)holds the rights to this special now. I can't mess with multi-region dvd players and I'm sure many other people can't as well. Let's get this baby on region 1 DVD once and...
I was born to be a muppeteer. I have a very diverse range of voices I can do and have incredible hand cordination/lip syncing talent. Ah well. I'm a muppeteer in my own mind. ;)
I would definitely want to do Grover. I can do his voice and all his mannerisms. Plus, he just looks like he'd be a fun muppet to operate with that big flappy clompy mouth of his. Plus, the scraggly muppet arms. Gotta love those scraggly muppet arms waving furiously about.
By the title of this thread, it almost sounds like another "National Treasury" in the making.
"Where do they keep the real muppets? At what address? Who has the keys to the real muppet storage facility?" :)
What about the piano player guy that bangs his head on the keys when he gets writer's block? I'd also like to see the shifty guy in the trench coat that tried selling Ernie an O. It would be neat seeing Herbert Birdsfoot again and Sam the Robot. I'd also like to see that light blue monster with...
I was hoping for a character puppet with a Christmas theme for his next one, but he came out with the shark and nobody bid on it. At least not over the reserve. I hope he comes out with a cool character puppet for his next one he puts on ebay.
Ashanti? So they're doing a The Wiz remake rather than a The Wizard of Oz remake? I say that because of the caption for the photo they use. "Ease on down the road." :sympathy:
