I was thinking of buying some of these, but I already waste a lot of money on DVDs. (darn you, Looney Tunes!)
Could someone tell me, are they worth it to try and track down the Donald, Goofy, and possibly Mickey Mouse sets?
I'm workin' on that one. ;)
By the way, thank you all for your comments.
(oh, and, by the way, for anyone else that notices, there are technically about three acts to this play, but... whoever heard of a musical in three acts?)
Scene Two
Location: 123 Sesame Street
Time: The next morning
At Rise: Gordon, Bob, Maria, Susan and Luis all stand around talking. Oscar is listening in from his trash can.
Bob: I think Prairie Dawn did a great job pulling that pageant together.
Susan: Yeah, I wonder what she's...
Act Two
Scene One
Location: An alleyway
Time: Night, a few days later
At Rise: Hoots the Owl is playing a jazz number on his saxaphone. There are a few other cool birds around him and a cat, all playing different instruments.
Kermit enters.
Kermit: Hi-ho, everyone, and welcome...
I agree with that. I like Buddy and Jim, but I think they really don't work for the show all that well. If the same bits were done with a Muppet pair, and paced a little differently, it would have worked better.
They still crack me up, though.
"Now the hammer's backward!"
From The Great Muppet Caper:
Statler: Hey, Waldorf, here come the bikinis.
Waldorf: Oh, boy! We better synchronize our pace makers!
And who could forget Gonzo photographing that woman's legs? Part of his photo essay on knee caps? Hmmmm.
I'm gonna re-post my old question:
Hi, Jim!
I noticed that Beauregard has a tendency to show a more heroic side. In The Great Muppet Caper, Beauregard was the only one "fighting" with Nicky Holiday instead of getting wrapped up in the "baseball game". There's also an episode of The Muppet...
I really want to see this movie. I wasn't expecting too much out of it except for maybe a funny(ish) superhero movie.
I recently watched Jumper, which I was expecting to be horrible the way the critics talked about it, but it wasn't bad. I enjoyed it for what it was. I think with movies like...
Scene Nine
Location: Sesame Street
Time: A few days later.
At Rise: Prairie Dawn stands at the center of the stage. Ernie is at stage right, and Grover is at stage left. The stage is still dark, though. A spot light comes down on Kermit the Frog as he enters.
Kermit: The success of...
Scene Eight
Location: Sesame Street, Park
Time: Sunday Evening
At Rise: A poorly built stage with a brightly colored curtain has been made in the middle of the park. Prairie Dawn is sitting at a toy piano on stage.
Prairie: *ahem*
(sung)
Oh, welcome, dear viewer, to our little...
Scene Seven
Location: Sesame Street, Park
Time: Sunday Afternoon
At Rise: Prairie Dawn, Big Bird and Snuffy are adding some finishing touches to the scenery and stage for tonight's pageant. There are some chairs scattered around, not yet lined up for their audience.
Kermit enters...
Scene Six
Location: Sesame Street, Park
Time: A week later
At Rise: Prairie Dawn is sitting at her toy piano, tapping out a tune.
Prairie Dawn: La la la, la la la la la la LA! Oh, dear. That doesn't sound right. La la la...
Bruno enters, carrying Oscar the Grouch.
Oscar: Hey...
Here's Dave Goelz announcing it a year ago while it was being filmed:

Scene Five
Location: Inside the Count Von Count's Castle
Time: A dark and stormy night
At Rise: The Count is sitting in his chair, gazing out the window. Kermit enters, out of breath.
Kermit: Phew! What a hike. Oh. *ahem* Now, we take you high up on a hill, to a dark castle somewhere...
Scene Four
Location: Ernie and Bert's Living Room
Time: Shortly after Scene Three
At Rise: Ernie is sitting in his chair, resting his head on his hand, thinking. Kermit stands in the foreground.
Kermit: Now, this is Ernie, in case you didn't know already. Ernie lives in this little...
