Scene Eight
Location: Sesame Street Park
Time: A few days later, evening
At Rise: The stage that Big Bird, Snuffy and Prairie Dawn had built for the first pageant has been set up. A toy piano is on the stage.
Kermit enters.
Kermit: It was the night of Prairie Dawn's next pageant...
Right. I understand the issue of room inside the head. I was just thinking about how Robin is alot closer to a basic sock puppet than Kermit is. It just seems to me that once you have the pattern down right (which, as you say, because he has a smaller head, would have to be perfect) he seems...
Ah, so you caught a little bit of the Avenue Q influence in the story, eh? :p
There actually isn't a whole lot of Avenue Q influence on this, though. I actually hadn't thought about the scene you're referring to in that way, though I do see the slight similarity. Nice catch.
The one major...
Scene Seven
Location: Ernie and Bert's Living Room
Time: Afternoon
At Rise: Ernie is sitting in front of a wall that comes just above his waist.
Kermit enters.
Kermit: Having failed in his mission, Ernie returned home defeated. Sitting alone, he awaited Bert's arrival, dreading...
Really? Hmm. I suppose. I know an actual puppet of Robin would be easier to put together than one of Kermit, but I guess that's quite different from the way a photo character has to be made.
That point just made me think about how much I like Between the Lions. I think it comes pretty close to being as good as some of the older Sesame Street stuff. The show is fun, and there's stuff in it that can be entertaining for adults.
"The only thing that even comes close [to Sesame...
Scene Six
Location: Inside the Count Von Count's Castle
Time: The next afternoon
At Rise: The back of the Count's chair faces the audience. All that can be seen is the very tip of the Count's profile. He sits with his chin in his hand, resting on the arm of the chair.
The Count: It...
I think I would like to see Robin made. I would definitely buy him, especially since he'd be a little cheaper to buy. I haven't been able to afford any of these yet, so a Robin would kind of be in my price range.
My wish is to at least get Kermit, Fozzie and Gonzo, though. Maybe someday.
Scene Five
Location: 123 Sesame Street
Time: The next evening
At Rise: Prairie Dawn sits alone on the steps. Oscar is peeking out from inside his trash can at her.
Kermit enters.
Kermit: Poor Grover, and poor Prairie Dawn, too. She's still worrying over her next show.
Prairie...
Junior's voice is very difficult to create. The Junior voice goes all over the place! I can imitate Junior fairly well, but only if it's something I know he's already said because I can recognize how Richard said it in his original performance. You're right in that he sounds like a deeper...
Scene Four
Location: Outside Hooper's Store
Time: Late evening
At Rise: Grover sits all alone outside the store, looking very sad.
Grover: *sigh* It has been a very long time since Amy sent me a postcard. She said she would send another one, but that should have been here by now. It...
The idea is extremely intruiging. I'm very interested to learn what you have in mind for this puppet.
Out of curiosity, do you just need this character to have veins that bulge? That could be accomplished without the blood. Just some tubing that you can pump air through.
Scene Three
Location: Ernie and Bert's Living Room
Time: Late Afternoon
At Rise: Bert sits alone, reading a book.
Bert: (laughs) Oh, boy, now that's funny! (calls out) Ernie, you gotta hear this! There's this pigeon who... Ernie? Is he still out? He's hardly been around at all in...
