Cute. Cute skit.
I agree with RedPiggy, but I still like it.
One (minor) complaint. Grover doesn't use contractions... at least not classic Grover. There have been a few times when Eric Jacobson accidentally slipped one in (mainly just in songs), but it's pretty rare.
I noticed you...
Cuz "Hiya, Wocka!" just sounds so... Native American. (Hiawatha! Get it? ... Never mind.)
But, seriously, "Hiya, hiya, hiya!" and "Wocka Wocka!" are just right. I get picky about that sort of thing, too. It's like Scooter should always swing his fist in front of him whenever he says the word...
SCENE SEVENTEEN
INT. BLACK PEARL - BRIG
SWEETUMS locks JACK in the brig. Water covers the floor. JACK sloshes around in it a bit.
SWEETUMS starts to leave.
JACK
(calling after him) Apparently there's a leak.
JACK moves to a hole in the wall and watches as the Black Pearl moves...
Fonzy Bear and Ralph the Dog and Timrek the Gorf... wait, that's a real one.
Maybe he also likes the Dr. Pepper and Janice Choplin relationship. :sing: :flirt:
I think this could clear part of it up. My favorite part of the interview:
Frank: People are much more discerning than other people think.
Q: Even kids?
A: More so!
It's true. People don't give kids enough credit, and that's why Sesame Street has started talking down a bit more to...
SCENE SIXTEEN
ON THE INTERCEPTOR...
KERMIT and PIGGY board. All the crew gather around.
PIGGY
Oh, no. More pirates.
FOZZIE
(jumps) Ah! Where? ... Oh. Us. Ha ha! Uh, welcome aboard anyway, Miss Piggy.
PIGGY
Mr. Fozzie? I thought you went missing after th---
FOZZIE...
Worst weekends ever, anyway:
Friday - Bernie Brillstein
Saturday - Bernie Mac
Sunday - Isaac Hayes
I really liked his music. Such a shame. :( :sympathy: :(
Perhaps a Chef marathon is in order?
Unfortunately, I agree with him. Don't get me wrong, the show is great for kids. I hope it never ends. But it's always been great for kids, even when it was, as he puts it, "hip" too. Not a little kiddie show, but an educational show that was fun and funny.
SCENE FIFTEEN
INT. CAVE
The pirates of the Black Pearl have all gathered. They're going through the treasures that they've collected and kept hidden here.
SAL is carrying a large trunk on his back. JOHNNY walks behind him.
JOHNNY
Hey, you know, this is great, Sal! This is very good...
Wow. Awesome news! So incredibly in character for Pepe to think he's such a big star that he deserves his own autobigoraphy. ;)
Seriously, though, he does! This makes me happy. But, a character that I think should write down his memoirs his Rowlf. He's been around almost as long as Kermit...
Cuz, honestly, how can you not like this picture? http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Image:Frith_Miss_Piggy.jpg
It's a shame art like that is unlikely for this comic. Does anyone else remember Patrick Spaziante? Now, that's who should be drawing the Muppet comics!
That's also brought out quite a bit in the play... or at least in My Fair Lady. I'd have to re-read Pygmallion. But, in My Fair Lady, Eliza becomes frustrated because she doesn't know who she is anymore. She doesn't know where she fits in, whereas when she was on the streets, she at least knew...
I also recall having seen something that my parents were watching on TV when Jim died. Some news report or something... I don't think it was The Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson, because the image I remember wasn't shown in that. It was of Jim talking with Kermit over his shoulder. I think it would...
I think just wants to be lady-like. The fact that she's a pig is difficult for her at times (in the first season, she said things like "Pig Power," but that sort of thing disappeared from her character). She's worked hard to cover it up, and is afraid of letting anyone see that she's actually a...
When I was very, very little, my parents had recorded The Great Muppet Caper off TV. That and a few of the Playhouse compilation videos were my introduction to the Muppets. I loved every minute of these, and The Great Muppet Caper is still my favorite Muppet movie... possibly my favorite movie...
There are a few spots in the first season of The Muppet Show where Piggy speaks "pig," but in other productions she seems almost offended by it... such as when Kermit calls out "Sooey! Oink! Oink!" in The Muppets Take Manhattan. Of course, that could also just be because he was mocking her, but...
I'm sorry, but I won't be able to get back to this until tomorrow night, unfortunately. The next scene's a long one, and I'm afraid I just don't have the time to focus on it today.
Sorry! :sympathy:
Oh, I remember The Man Called Flintstone! That was one of the best! I remember recording it off Disney Channel when I was younger. It was playing back-to-back with The Great Muppet Caper.
"Uh, uno a-bottle-o de wine-o. Eh, pronto."
"Oooh, you speak Italian!"
"Si si, fraulein."
