Oh, I just wanted to add that I don't think the puppetry was bad at all. The performer is very gifted in that respects. It may have seemed stiff only in comparison to Steve Whitmire, whom I believe to be one of the best puppeteers there is. Don't believe me? Go watch an episode of Fraggle Rock...
I've posted some of my thoughts on this in the Cheeky Muppet Moments thread, but here's one (and this is technically off-topic):
In the Pirates of the Care-to-be-readin' episode of Sesame Street, one of the characters makes a statement that is something like "No chance in L."
But, yeah...
Personally, it didn't sound more like Jim to me. Jim's voice is a tough one to imitate, and that wasn't it.
A valliant effort was put forth. I have been and always shall be pro-Steve (19 years later and we're still having this debate?), so it was a little upsetting to see Kermit was...
Thanks, Jamie. A froggy for you---> :)
I really like this comic series (even if my second issue hasn't arrived yet). Much better than I was expecting. And I love the re-design for Gonzo on the cover. He looks off in a few panels, but over-all it's a pretty decent look.
Has anyone else had a problem subscribing to the comic? I ordered my subscription, but when I checked my order it says that it's already been completed. I still haven't received the second issue yet.
And maybe I missed it... was there a delay with the Robin Hood comics?
Yes, yes. One of the best. The songs are great! It's probably my second favorite (of what I've seen). The best, I think, was The Muppets Go to the Movies.
Hey, that would make for an interesting comic series. Either expand on the Muppets adventures in Disney World or do more movie parodies. I...
Kermit the adult and puppet frog dressed as Indy in The Muppets at Walt Disney World. He was randomly picked from the audience to portray Indiana Jones as part of the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.

Does anyone else remember the petition to have Dick Van Dyke play Doc if Gerry Parkes was unable to? I'm still diggin' that idea.
Just found the thread about it. We called ourselves SPABCBCO(ACB)FDVDPOD Inc. LLC (Super Penguins And Britney Card-Board Cut-Outs (And ClipBoards) For Dick Van...
I don't mean to complain or sound impatient or cause an uprising or anything... but...
Season 3 was released on May 20, 2008. It hasn't been a year yet since it was released, so we might still be on the "one-a-year" schedule. However, it has been over a year since season 3 was announced...
Oh, another slight error. Herry Monster didn't debut as the Big Bad Wolf. It was the same (or similar) puppet, but Big Bad was first used the year after Herry's introduction.
An interesting article, but it is flawed. The Swedish Chef was not based on an actual Swedish chef.
Jerry Juhl's own words:
"I wrote, rehearsed, rewrote, brainstormed, and giggled uncontrollably a thousand times with Jim Henson as we dealt with the Swedish Chef, and I never ONCE heard him...

This part of the Jim Henson Hour episode "Secrets of the Muppets" kinda gives you an idea of how big the characters are in relation to their performers.
Kermit is alot smaller than I would have originally guessed.
The best is when you combine the two, and end up confusing everyone.
... Actually, that's kinda what I do in my shows. Yipe!
Confusion = funny... sometimes.
I like The Dark Crystal, but from what I've seen of the original cut, it could have been so much better. I don't think a more general audience would have liked it as much, but it just makes sense to me. I love the idea of telling a story with only visuals and music. Some of the original dailogue...
I like gasket rubber alot. I just started using it. Otherwise, I also like using thin plastic. Some craft and fabric stores sell very thin, plastic cutting boards (usually transparent) that work well for mouths. You can get a fair amount of expression out of it (think Scooter's mouth). It's good...
Gee, that's a good question. I know I wouldn't have been able to watch Sesame Street from probably '93 to '95 (no TV), but I know I saw the "around the corner" seasons, despite being (technically) too old for it. I distinctly remember Ruth Buzzi's character and the Furry Arms Hotel. I also...
