I think that maybe Piggy did "trick" (I say "trick," but Kermit did end up willing to go through wiht it) Kermit into marrying her in The Muppets Take Manhattan, but Miss Piggy lied about her age on the marriage certificate, so it wasn't legal.
Her first (known) appearance was on Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass where she was performed by Jerry Nelson. Here's what Bonnie Erickson said about the name:
"My mother used to live in North Dakota where Peggy Lee sang on the local radio station before she became a famous jazz singer. When I...
Thanks, guys!
(Note: in The Muppets Take Manhattan when Gonzo is about to perform his water ski act, he yells out "Look yonder!" When I was a kid, I asked the same thing Link asks here. "Who's Luke Yonder?" Unbelieveable, okay!)
The Super Goofs may embark on another adventure...
Chapter Nine
The Muppet Theater was packed. Penguins, monsters, chickens and various odd creatures waited patiently (some a bit less patiently than others) for the show to go on.
When Kermit finally came onstage, he was met with thunderous applause, which he just ate up. (If you’ve ever...
Chapter Eight
As the Super Goofs made their way backstage, they discovered that Frog Boss had already been untied and was waiting for their return.
“Frog Boss!” Super Gofer said, surprised to see him. “How did you get out?”
Frog Boss shrugged. “Lazy writing.”
Bearman rushed up to...
Grover- He can be such a klutz (like me), but he tries so hard (Frank Oz said that's why Grover never uses contractions, cuz he wants everything to be perfect). I don't know how you can't love the guy! One of my fondest memories as a child was listening to him sing "Tu Me Gustas" on one of my...
Chapter Seven
Pepe ran as fast as he could across the stage of the Muppet Theater. The Super Goofs, who had tripped over each other a few times, were about ten feet behind him.
“Ju’ll never catch me alive!" Pepe shouted to the Goofs. “But if ju are going to catch me, please make sure that...
This is hillarious! But... Strangepork with an Irish accent? Interesting.
Really great so far!
More, please!

Michael Davis seems like such a nice guy. He just sent me the personalized autograph sticker "plaque" to put in the book... now to just wait for the book. :D The "plague" has a drawing of Big Bird by Caroll Spinney on it.
He handwrote everything on the envelope too (and he put a fake "Street...
Chapter Six
Frog Boss opened his eyes to find that he couldn’t see anything. His eyes had been covered, and he could only make out the pink polka dot pattern of his blindfold.
“Fozzie?" he asked nervously. “Why is your tie on my face?"
“How’d he know it was mine?" he heard a familiar...
Chapter Five
Backstage at the Muppet Theater was divided into two levels. The dressing rooms were upstairs and a large rehearsal/meeting/noone’s-really-sure-what-it’s-official-purpose-is kind of an area downstairs. Props and costumes cluttered the downstairs area, and there was a large desk...
I will agree with you on this (but not much else in your rant). Miss Piggy is insecure, but hides her frailty with a "tough guy" persona. She can be very sweet, or very tough. I think we've been seeing that more lately. Her interview with Kermit yesterday was very sweet. The end of the special...
Ack! Are you kidding me? I originally wrote down Fleet Scribbler, but changed it to Angus at the last minute (slightly more obscure).
I think Season 5 should have a chicken on the cover. Or maybe the complete series set could come in a binder that looks (and feels) like a chicken.
