Why does it seem like when a song is sung with alternate lyrics in something that the song listing tends to refer to it by its actual title instead of the parody title (if the title lyric is altered)? For example, in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, at one point Dr. Evil sings a line of...
I thought about listing other roles I've seen for every cast member who actually is more famous than the Sesame Street character they played (I.E., I saw Raul Julia in The Addams Family movies, Gedde Watanabe in UHF, Bill Irwin in How the Grinch Stole Christmas, etc.).
Right now I have Kelly Clarkson's new Christmas song "Underneath the Tree" in my head. And talk about luck, I heard it on the radio and as soon as I was home I searched for it on YouTube, and not only have I found it, but it seems that song is advertised on nearly every YouTube video that has...
James Rolfe talked about that when he did his series of Ninja Turtles videos, in a video of "leftover" Turtles productions (things he hadn't covered in other videos). According to Rolfe's video, this was a locally-released video, so those in Los Angelas are more likely to remember the turtles...
When I was in the first grade, I recall watching a sign language video featuring Linda Bove. There was a deaf kid in our class, which is probably why we watched the video. In fact I don't think I understood why Linda used sign language and didn't talk until I knew an actual deaf person.
Oh...
When I saw that recent behind-the-scenes video with The Miz referred to as a "Muppisode", I thought it was merely an appearance on WWE, with "Muppisode" being a clever title for a segment with the Muppets. Didn't know it was supposed to be a web series starring the Muppets.
And this video...
It seems like they chose odd times to cut to commercial, but maybe it was just hard to find the right spots to lead to commercial. And it hit me that this might be the first time I watched this movie with commercial interruptions.
"When Love is Gone" wasn't included. I'm not surprised, since it's airing in widescreen.
The colors look so great in this broadcast, which I assume was the copy used for either the Blu-Ray or most recent DVD release.
For the last few weeks, there have been times when I've tried listing 200 characters in alphabetical order. I never saved the list any of these times, it allows me to redo it over and over for fun. But for some reason when I do it I actually keep forgetting about a lot of characters I shouldn't...
You know, there's a few super-obscure characters who I wonder if they'll be in this book. Characters so rare that Muppet Wiki doesn't have any pages for them.
One such character is a pink female bird character who appeared in a promotional image for The Jim Henson Hour, but on the show...
Maybe Crazy Harry will provide explosions. Or just crazed laughter (or maybe crazed laughter following explosions). Or perhaps he'll go back to the triangle bell.
What is it about Sam Arrow that gets that variant in merchandise, while other MTI variants don't?
Sam Arrow was one of very few Muppet Treasure Island action figures put out by Palisades, and that one even had an exclusive variant (he was one of the few characters in the movie to have any...
I was just looking at the menu screen for each stage, and there's going to be a new stage coming soon. The image is dark but it looks like Animal is once again the character featured on the image (he was already the featured image character for the first stage). I guess Lew Zealand will probably...
A few things concerning Saturday Night Live, and some of it might qualify more for the "did you ever notice...?" thread, but I'm not entirely sure.
The sixth season is considered an "old shame" of the show. Not sure if that's for the shows owner, the producers, or what. But most of the cast...
Well, The Electric Mayhem was the background band for the opening song. And actually, if this was done in 2000, I think the Electric Mayhem scenes would have been done. It probably wouldn't have had Lips, and most of the dialogue would have been given to Floyd and Animal, though I could still...
I didn't watch all of this broadcast, and there were times I wasn't paying attention, but is it just me or were the Scrubs and Fear Factor scenes cut?
Though if those were, it was kind of a strength. I always thought it was weird that the Muppets determined that Miss Piggy was a big-enough...
Not surprisingly, they also cut the scene with the NBC logo on Kermit's foot. Actually, they kept the dialogue in, but I think they dubbed it over a different shot of Kermit talking. I can't remember if the NBC music played in this scene or not, but if it did then that was cut.
I'm watching this right now, and they cut out the entire Crocodile Hunter scene. So those seeing this for the first time suddenly saw Fozzie looking like the Grinch without knowing why.
Now that I think about it, considering the one with Guy Smiley was available on Verizon phones in the past, was that sketch released in english or another language (I think I've read the service included non-English segments)?
He wasn't in Muppets' Wizard of Oz. Maybe it's just me but it seems like he was gone during that period, and then came back in 2008 (while Johnny and Sal started to be dropped). Then again there weren't many Muppet projects between 2006-2008.
