    Questions about anything

When a character on a TV show stops appearing, usually one of three things happens: 1. They have a goodbye episode, showing why they will no longer be seen regularly (if they ever return at all). 2. They don't get a goodbye episode but their absence is explained or acknowledged (does it count as...

A Breakdown of the Series' Timeline

I decided to make a similar thread about the Jim Henson Company timeline (and my post took me longer to write than my Sesame Street one): http://www.muppetcentral.com/forum/threads/a-breakdown-of-the-jim-henson-company-timeline.56766/#post-1092635

A breakdown of the Jim Henson Company timeline

A few months ago there was a similar thread regarding the Sesame Street timeline, but I feel it might be fun to do a similar one regarding the timeline of The Jim Henson Company. I put this in the General Discussions because I couldn't determine what Henson Company folder it would be most...

Your Thoughts: "Jim Henson: The Biography" by Brian Jay Jones

Oops. I didn't realize I wrote "autobiography", but corrected it in my past post.

    Questions about anything

Is there a thread listing all non-Henson TV shows, franchises, and properties that have their own threads in the General Discussions forum? It might be hard to find and compile all of them, but would be good to know what all already has its own thread (so that people don't accidentally start a...

Your Thoughts: "Jim Henson: The Biography" by Brian Jay Jones

I read that the first draft of this book was 700 pages long, before it was shortened to 585 (and that's counting the notes and indexes, which the original draft probably didn't have). It makes me wonder what all was cut... I wonder if the original draft covered everything Jim did, or what all...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

So there's a new segment where Grover teaches "force", and ends up needing help from a few monsters.... This would have been a great opportunity to use Herry. Then again, if Herry helped, they probably wouldn't have continued struggling. And on the plus side, Frazzle made a return...

Your Thoughts: "Jim Henson: The Biography" by Brian Jay Jones

One thing that's great is that this book briefly confirms why Caroll Spinney stopped performing Anything Muppets after the first two seasons (the book says he stopped after the first season.... Technically, that's not incorrect, since after the second season is still after the first).

    Muppets Most Wanted Funko Pops

I wonder if existing ones will be rereleased, repacked under "Muppets Most Wanted". It'd be weird if there will only be two in stores. Or are the existing ones still available (I know Palisades normally only released figures to stores once, though I also know there were occasions when they made...

Speculation: Sesame Street 45th Anniversary Possibilities

I think that a special "45th anniversary opening" should have a mix of new footage and existing footage. Clips can appear on a screen-within-a-screen (don't know what it would be called), which would take care of any full screen/widescreen concerns. Good clips to include in a montage in the...

    Dreams about Muppets

Last night I dreamt that David Bowie decided to make a movie ripping off Labyrinth, called Jennifer Land (named after Jennifer Connelly).

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

Why did The Wonder Years have the same opening for most of its run? The opening was a montage that appeared in the first episode, which showed Winnie looking different than she would after that scene, with her having pigtails and glasses. It'd be weird for those familiar with the series who...

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

I've asked the same question many times. Maybe not here, but I guess great minds think alike. All drinks are soft, it's not like they make hard drinks (which would be hard to swallow).

Speculation: Sesame Street 45th Anniversary Possibilities

Or how about a special theme song showcasing clips from each era. I think the seasons 33-38 themes are the only ones to actually include clips from the show. Maybe even show "through the years" montages of the main characters.

Speculation: Sesame Street 45th Anniversary Possibilities

Recently I thought about how Saturday Night Live has (or had, not sure if they're still making them) a video collection where each release is themed around a different season. Maybe they could put out an iTunes collection of the best of Sesame Street from every season (I couldn't see them...

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

Maybe I should bring this up on the Muppet Wiki forums, but I've noticed that Muppet Wiki has quite a few pages for Sesame Street episodes where it just lists some of the sketches. I'm not talking about episodes compiled from program guides (which are noted on the pages in those cases), but...

    Questions about anything

I thought there was something about a lot of Will Ferrell's roles, though I like those kinds of characters (not sure if by "unlikeable" you meant you didn't like them or the characters were supposed to be unlikeable). Though I don't know if he's typecast... He is a big star and has been in a lot...

    Questions about anything

Have any variety show/sketch comedy actors ever been typecast? It seems being on such a show should save someone from typecasting, since they regularly get to play multiple roles, but I wonder if that's actually happened. And I'm not talking about actors who started out on variety shows but...

    The "You know what?" thread

This might be better for its own thread (though I can't figure out a good thread title for the subject), but here goes... Latley, on the Tough Pigs forum (and I think I've seen this brought up on the Muppet Central forums, and it is brought up as well in Jim Henson: The Biography), when...
