TV Alert: ABC Family's Muppet Movie Marathon Sunday January 5

And yet that wasn't a problem when it was released in theaters....? Though when I was a kid, the movies had times when Animal or Sweetums did screaming/shouting that hurt my ears and made me either fast forward or mute the volume. I got over any such Animal scenes much faster than any with...

    Minor Muppetz' Fan Fic Index

Well I managed to find a lot more of my fan fiction (still no Hugh Hefner TMS outline). The Muppets Kermit Attempts to Write an Outline http://www.muppetcentral.com/forum/threads/kermit-attempts-to-write-an-outline.19340/ A Very Muppetational Thanksgiving...

    Minor Muppetz' Fan Fic Index

I listed all the ones I could find. Searching for all threads I started in the "Fan Fiction" folder only goes as far as ten pages (and I've done so many that it didn't cover them all). I ended up doing google searches for many that weren't in the MC search results, and some of them I couldn't...

    2014 MC FanFic Library Index

I was going to post an index to my fan fics here, but then decided to just start my own separate thread for my fan fiction. http://www.muppetcentral.com/forum/threads/minor-muppetz-fan-fic-index.56704/

    Minor Muppetz' Fan Fic Index

Somebody suggested this to me a few years ago, and after so much procrastination, I've finally gotten around to listing an index of most of my fan fiction. And I've got to tell you, this sure has been hard for me. I procrastinated for a long time, in part because I didn't think about copying...

    The "You know what?" thread

Many restaurants have their own staff sing special birthday songs on a customers birthday, because singing "Happy Birthday" would be considered a "performance" and therefore they'd have to pay the song writers. But then many public places have karaoke. Isn't karaoke singing a "performance"...

    2014 MC FanFic Library Index

So is this thread for those fan fics not already listed on the other thread, or just newer ones? Because I have started going through my fan fics and listing them and the links. It'll probably take a day or two before I'm ready to post all the links.

    Questions about anything

I just remembered something. Back in 1998, syndication for the show had changed so that every local station that aired reruns could decide what episodes air. I'm not sure if that had changed since then, but it's possible that my local station chooses to only air the widescreen episodes.

Your Thoughts: "Jim Henson: The Biography" by Brian Jay Jones

Actually, Sesame Workshop owned the rights to his Sesame Street contributions (just not the Muppet characters, until 2000). Of course there were things Henson did that the company had always owned the distribution rights to (before the 2004 Disney sale). As far as I know, Henson had...

    Questions about anything

So do pre-season 20 episodes of The Simpsons get shown in syndication anymore? It seems like whenever I watch the show in syndication, it's a widescreen episode. Of course, with the first 16 seasons on DVD, that's not a big loss (but then there's four seasons not widely available for fans to...

"Lost" Cast Member: Panchito Gomez as Antonio

I've read about an episode where Antonio's birthday was celebrated, and this clip (which appears on the 40th anniversary DVD set) comes from that episode. Was Antonio one of the kids seen in this clip?

Your Thoughts: "Jim Henson: The Biography" by Brian Jay Jones

Well, I just finished the book. Turns out some of the productions that I thought weren't mentioned do end up being mentioned, mostly in the "notes" section acknowledging various sources. There's one note about the properties Jim Henson had purchased back from ITC, listing all productions...

New Muppet movie in development for potential 2013 release

I wonder if there'll be multiple variations of the theme with the Muppets dressed for different countries. I wasn't expecting Mexico to be one of their stops. I assumed they'd be traveling over Europe and European countries (not exactly sure if Russia is part of Europe), but wouldn't it be...

Your Thoughts: "Jim Henson: The Biography" by Brian Jay Jones

It's interesting how many chapters focus more on certain projects than others, while also talking about what else was going on at the time, and those projects that do get most of the focus in a given chapter still get talked about a bit in future chapters (mainly TV shows that were still in...

    Episode 1966

It is great to finally know what that season premier is about. I wonder if those three all actually believe Big Bird in that episode, or if it's all in different episodes of the season. I could see that quote referring to the season more than the episode, and I feel it would make more sense...

Your Thoughts: "Jim Henson: The Biography" by Brian Jay Jones

Well, I have a couple of chapters left before finishing. It's great. The Muppet Mindset review had said that this talks about every production Jim worked on, but it doesn't. There's a few I was curious about that aren't mentioned, at least according to the index (unless they are and just...

Speculation: Sesame Street 45th Anniversary Possibilities

This is probably for another thread, but I wonder if a DVD set dedicated to every version of the various songs that have been remade would sell well. Of course it'd probably take more than a disc for every version of The People in Your Neighborhood or One of These Things (and there has been an...

Video: Crack Master Sesame Street animation

With this segment finally seen, I wonder what the next "holy grail" will be (well, we still haven't seen the full original version of Rubber Duckie, or the full 1972 version of ABC-DEF-GHI, and there's the "Surprise!" song with the human cast that some of us seem to think of as holy grails. And...
