I decided to look at the wiki pages for some of the recently-added classic episodes, is it just me or are more segments cut from this batch of classics compared to what's already been on the service?
In particular, a lot of segments from the season 19 premier are cut, though some of them I am...
Something I wondered: For seasons 27-29, do they keep or cut the ending "coming soon on Sesame Street" teasers (considering not many, if any, back to back episodes are on HBO Max)? I guess I could ask the same for when the show was on HBO in the past. It gets me wondering: If they remove the...
This was fun.
Craig Shemin co-hosted, I really was not expecting that.
I think Emillio Degardo was supposed to be part of it, but he did not show up. People in the comments kept asking about him (eventually, somebody commented with him having some unforseen circumstances that kept him)...
Lately I’ve been really enjoying the song “First Grade” (which I am not sure if I had seen before about six months ago), and just a few nights ago, I noticed something about tr custodians: one is blue, the other is orange, but their noses are the color of the other one.
Okay, first time I saw an update on the HBO Max page, I only noticed one episode that was added today. Then I saw more added since, and then there was another post with some more (including that one). I figured maybe they didn't list all of the newly-added ones yet.
I’ve never thought the line sounded like that. If it is why they eventually stopped airing it (which I think would be more because of disco…. Though some disco segments lasted until the late-1990s), it didn’t stop Sesame Workshop from putting it online and releasing it on DVD.
With the recent Elmo vs. Rocco posts trending, I feel like all remaining Rocco-focused episodes should be added.
of course i’m also thinking there should be a “Best of Rocco” DVD (even though there are many more deserving characters who have not had a spotlight video).
Same with me. I watched that season a lot, but don't remember Madlenka, don't really think about it often when it's not brought up, and somehow when I do think of it I think it came a little earlier.
I can’t remember if I thought it was Don Music’s back-up singers from “No Best Part” who resembled the Alphabeats (just with different clothing and without Little Chrissy) or two of the back-up singers from the song “One Way”. But in both cases, they are joined by a fat blue Anything Muppet who...
Since Elmo and Zoe were both recast, there’s been very few team-ups (as the performers don’t feel the right chemistry), and I’ve heard they did away with Rocco because it appealed more to adults than kids and the show was focused less on things that appeal to the parents.
And now it is confirmed that Steve Whitmire and Frank Oz will be part of this (though unfortunately, Frank Oz will only be part of the live stream… I am actually not surprised).
I've been thinking about this today. So the Cha Cha Palace had a best trash can contest... Do you think the other Grouch participants had a garbage man carry their cans to the Cha Cha Palace for the contest, or do you think they used the traveling trash can thing that Oscar often did?
Oscar...
I saw the page recently but it had not yet added a sketch rundown. When I read this thread, before reading the guide, I was mistakenly under the impression that it was just two episodes edited together, with some content missing and some unaired segments (so how is that the "best" of the...
Another thing I started thinking last night for seasons 30 and 31: If they cut down on episodes because they just couldn't repeat street stories and squeeze in Elmo's World, I wonder how it would go over if they did episodes that were just insert segments, maybe with a couple of original street...
Season 30 is the first to reduce the number of episodes each season from 130 to 65. Seems with the addition of Elmo’s World, they were unable to repeat street stories, though I think they could have still down that in seasons 30 and 31, just have fewer inserts between some of the street scenes...
Last night I watched Ernest Saves Christmas for the first time in a few years. A few thoughts and questions I have:
* I used to think that Santa Claus was the one who was going to drive the reindeer from the airport, and that Ernest was concerned about Santa driving to the airport in rush hour...
I've noticed in some scenes with the main characters there are a few random characters with them, I'm guessing they were the understudies for this show. They almost stick out.
I know with many of the Sesame Street Live shows, familiar characters are silent understudies. Which makes me wonder...
