I liked the reference to the baker films and Charlie showing intelligence to everyone's surprise. The Marren Morris song might have been a ripoff of the Power of Yet, but I still liked it. And Leslie's voice for the boss of the cereal company in Amazing Adventures was amusing.
Steve Whitmire: One of the things that impressed me the most about Jim when I was 17 or 18 years old meeting him was what he considered to be the audition process. We put on puppets and stood in front of a mirror for 20 minutes, and that afternoon he called Frank in and we did another 15 minutes...
I liked this episode a lot. Charlie is quite cute and I'm looking forward to more of her. I liked the nods to the premiere episode. I thought the new version of Anyone Can Be Friends was nice.
Would you be willing to make a supercut of all the times Dr. Teeth used big words (including made-up ones) in his sentences? That's one of my dad's favorite things about Dr. Teeth.
The whole service is here, since it's unlisted, I'm not giving out the whole link: kCvyMmOUmuk I love hearing all the main Muppet performers and Tau Bennet sing in their natural voices.
I thought the girl leading the opposing tee-ball team's acting was fine. It's been a while since we've seen a human child involved in an episode plot. I liked Peter Linz's squirrel and the slow-mo portion. I liked the talk-show style bit with Big Bird and Chloe Kim.
Don't be hard on Mikaela, she probably isn't able to watch the new shows immediately like you and I are. But I thought the street story was fun. I liked the songs even if they were pointless. I liked Mr. Johnson unexpectedly singing heavy metal. I need some help from Shane identifying the fruit...
So Shane apparently rewatched EIG and is making adjustments related to it on the Wiki. One of them is changing the page for the Grouch Cab Driver to say his performer is Bill Barretta, not Kevin Clash like it says in the credits. Can you guys hear it?
JD Hansel: Have you seen the trailer for the new Dark Crystal show?
Steve Swanson: I've watched all 3 of them, (disappointed sigh), yeah.
JD: See, my problem is I look at thinking "darn it, that actually looks good."
Steve: OK, it looks interesting, but it's the Dark Crystal, it doesn't look...
The song Bunsen and Beaker 2.O sing was catchy. I really liked that weird moment showing live-action people dressed in Devo outfits. It was nice to finally hear Baby Rizzo sing. I liked Gonzo's design as a chicken.
I guess this is the last Big Bird's Road Trip segment since Big Bird finally made it to his cousin Little Bird. I thought the segments were fun while they lasted, nothing spectacular.
Cam Garrity: There's something wonderful that's happened as you've gone to all these conventions, you've been able to spend time with Caroll Spinney, who was one of the first people who you interacted with from the Muppets. Can you talk about what that experience has been like of getting to know...
Seeing the 50th anniversary anthem for the first time on the show was a nice surprise. I really like the music for the Monster on the Street. The Fairy Duck song is cute.
