And yet, my mom likes Alan and Chris just fine. Then again, she probably notices it with her because, as JD Hansel said on a podcast, "She insists on showing us all of her teeth whenever she smiles."
I really liked how Piggy had a gravelly voice welcoming the kids on the mountain, and it just being she forgot to clear her throat. I also liked how the kids tried to do something for Miss Nanny. Rowlf trying to get water out of the weird science tank was funny.
Now that we've had Nina for 5 years, I wanna know how you guys feel about her. Do you think she's a good character, do you think she lacks the motherly nature that Maria or Susan had? I know some of you think she's attractive, which she is, but do you think that's enough to keep her going? Let...
Someone decided to see what it would look like if Follow That Bird was made during the Elmo-and-Abby era. Oddly enough, it kinda works, except for unnecessarily putting the sketch where Abby turns a mailbox into a pumpkin after Big Bird talks to the red bird. Elmo and Abby don't take up any...
The cold open with the dog making Grover fetch the stick was funny. The street story was kinda fun. I liked how Elmo and Rudy sorta put pressure on Abby to when the gumball game. The only thing interesting about the Road Trip segment was it was the first one that used the BB puppet that was...
Maybe David's in Chicago visiting family members. Peter subbed in for him as Beaker at the Game Awards this year too. Anyway, this was fun. I liked Don Music, Forgetful Jones, and Little Jerry being in the list of Sesame residents.
This was fun. Big Bird thinking Tom Hanks' name was Thanks and trying to sit in his lap was funny. This is My Street was the perfect song for the occasion. I could tell that Leslie was still grieving over losing Caroll. I empathized with her.
This is a theory: Maybe when Wendy Williams met Caroll back in 2012, he told her that cause she has an autistic family member, but he wasn't willing to tell most people.
The cold open was a nice surprise. Great to see Bart and whoever the girl is. The song Abby, Elmo and Mick sang was catchy. The new version of Sing was pretty good. I liked Grover and Charlie adding examples of good things in the middle of singing. The dedication to Caroll after the credits was...
I thought the song Fozzie sang in the jungle was catchy. It was nice seeing the backstage of the Muppet Theater for the first time on this series. It was interesting how they used hand-drawn animation for the monkey in the storybook.
Ryan and David have good things to say about Caroll:
My mom learned from Wendy Williams that Caroll had autism. She had my brother look it up to see if it was true. How come we never knew that before?
I heard about this news when I was assisting the Jim Henson tour at the Center for Puppetry Arts and I just couldn't believe it. RIP, Caroll. Thank you for everything you've done. I'm very lucky that I got to meet you at DragonCon in 2015.
Seeing Baby Bear in the bookends was a nice surprise. I thought David's performance of the talking jacket was fun and I liked the song he and Elmo sang. My favorite part of the Road Trip bit was Big Bird asking if he could fit in the boys house. I liked hearing Leslie and Frankie voice the...
