Hasn't Barbie already been through enough?
As a boy I could not understand why girls liked Ken, the doll. With time that mystery deepens.
Now there is a Ken who will say just what they want, and only what they want...playback at three different pitches, so a kid can record their own voice...
That is one swingin' Cookie Monster!
Hasbro is a name that says a lot. At least in their golden age, they combined imagination with practicality, amazingly, and brought great things into peoples' lives.
What do you think is the greatest toy company of all time? Guess Hasbro would not be...

Friends, let me tell you about the STAEDTLER Textsurfer classic.
While other highlighters are either just dull, functional markers, or have followed all sorts of trends, specialising to make them look and act like pens, or, or, or...

Valentine's Day is ceratinly O.K. !
I have no wife. I've loved and lost, but it was meant to be. God was opening a beautiful garden to me through it all. That beautiful garden is life today.
I live in the woods. On the rare occasion I go to a city, I see...young women, who have men (who...
Another way to put it: your reading had balls. That can't be faked. :insatiable: But often, very often, it is faked. That may sound odd...however a few years ago a young, Spanish actress said she had trouble finding a boyfriend who had as much balls as she had...so there you have the...
Yes, I can remember Miss Piggy being less agressive with Kermit in season five. The show seemed more finely tuned altogether - easier for them to finesse - more nuanced maybe, including in the look of things.
Glad you found it interesting, GonzoLeaper.
Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids was so unusual for its time. I was surprised to hear in the documentary that racism may have kept it from getting due recognition. Makes sense, though.

Nice to know about him. Influential and special person. So much more than money...:)
I bought The Champ (1931) and The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947) for a friend who is recovering from cancer.
Both films are fun and drama mixed together. Both are also essential explorations of what relationships mean, in the course of a life.
The latter is a great ghost movie -the best ghost...
I hope it has a moment or two where comedy blends into drama. :o
The scenario certainly leaves the door open for it.
The Muppet Movie had a few mixtures like that.
This makes the comedy even funnier--more alive--and it takes us straight into the Muppets' world.
From the very first pictures, and more and more, I get the impression of something lively in the making. Lots of atmosphere.
And Amy Adams is not too hard on the eyes, either! :concern:
I wonder. I think Adam West was ahead of his time, as well as after his time, in 1989.
You're right it would likely have been marginal, box-office-wise.
He seemed to have in mind something other than a revival of the TV series.
Wish I could contact him to ask him more.

Frogboy on Batman 1989:
quote] It’s not perfect, but it brought back Batman and comic book movies in a big way!
Adam West was not only raring to go for "the" Batman movie, he actually submitted a movie treatment, which was not accepted. I remember him discussing that, and that he was...
