I believe someone said a while ago that the special guests would be posted up on July 1st. It doesn't say that on the website, and there aren't any special guests up (to be fair, it's pretty early in the day).
Either way, I think I'll make a call a little later today to see if they've...
Wow, all night? I like left my iPod in the car for like twenty minutes and it came back with the screen all furry.
So...has anyone besides heralde sent things to Amanda? Did she mention a day we should have them in by?
(P.S. Oh no, Beverly Sills :o )
Thanks Count. :) I was pretty confused.
Yeah it's not really a headline or appearance. Better suited here, don't know why I didn't think of it.
I can't figure out what Gonzo meant by his party trick, though.
Here's a clip from the San Francisco one:

And the schedule's up too, sans guest speakers:

Okay this is sort of a Muppet headline, it's sort of On The Web, but it doesn't really fit in the "Muppets and YouTube" thread, right, because it's semi-big news and a pretty rare clip sort of that just got posted yesterday. I mean someone may have already posted it too. The point is, if this is...
I'm dipping back into this underground Muppet business on account of Live 365 is having it's day of silence, and I absolutely must hear this song before I go crazy.
Does anybody have Blackbird, from Muppet Show Season 5? I have many songs that I will trade, and would be happy to negotiate with...
3 guests, I bet you one of them's Steve himself. Hallo Steve.
And Three ifs:
IF I'm allowed to go to Huntington this summer
IF Steve plans on being at the Muppet event at the Cinema Arts Centre
and IF I have the courage to go up...I'll tell him you all say hello (leaving out specific...
Do you think Dave Goelz will possibly travel out to be at the Huntington one? Or any other Muppeteer?
Like, have they solidified any guests, or does everyone have to wait until July 1st before they reveal it?
Orange juice? Bad for you? Oh that's just GREAT. I leave you people alone for one second...
:)
Man I gotta see Oxford Blues...but you know what's weird, I was reading a little back through the thread, on the last page, and I read something about Steve's home video, and then I remembered how I...
Aggggh I've been away so long on account of I didn't notice that it wasn't in my subscriptions list anymore and now you all have made 4220 POSTS!
I'M SO SORRY.
Sweet video. And I...I kinda liked Muppets from Space almost more than every other Muppet movie except for THE Muppet Movie...but...
In Kevin Clash's book, he mentioned an exercise he used to do as a child, kind of similar to the one wickedpuppets just suggested. You set up a mirror beside your television, and then while you're normally watch TV, you hold a puppet up to the mirror and try to copy each character's facial...
If a puppeteer is going to introduce something, it only makes sense for them to have their puppet. While not required, I can't see why they wouldn't want to bring Kermit or someone to establish themselves as a puppeteer.
Although technically Kermit wasn't a part of Jim Henson's creative team...
The lambada always does. I haven't heard it in a long time though. And the instrumentals during the Ernie and Bert balloon sketch.
And of course all the regular ones, like I'm Going To Go Back There Someday and Saying Goodbye.
...And sometimes Simon Smith. :o
Well...you COULD become a "temporary member", per se. I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to sign up, perhaps donate a bit, and then get out. Though I suppose, if that were possible, it would be sort of like using them, and that's "not what the Muppets are about" and things...
So, the one in Huntington. Three days, tons of special guests, Henson film rarities...sounds a bit like a less life-altering second Muppetfest to me. Yay! :)
