Thanks, everyone. It's so good to have so much support, and I appreciate all of it. It's been so hard, but I'm starting to do a little better at focusing on the positive. I tend to be an optimist, so I'm trying my best. It helps to have so many great people like you guys thinking of me.
Hi everyone,
I haven't posted in a few weeks--something very sad happened in my family just after Thanksgiving. My dad and my brother were in a car accident, and my brother died. It's been really tough on all of us, because we were all very close. Lander (my brother) was one of my best...
Hooray! That was awesome! I won't spoil it for anyone else, but I can't wait until he calls me again tomorrow. I have my ringtone on my cell phone set to Rainbow Connection, so the whole thing was just great!
:) :) :)
Hooray! I'm glad I saw this in time, because I gotta have Kermit wake me up. Last year I picked Darth Vader, but then some random Stormtrooper called me and told me that Vader wanted me to get up. I'm looking forward to actually hearing from the one and only Kermit the Frog!
:)
I saw the SuperGrover balloon, but I got up too late for the Sesame Street float. I got it on Tivo back home, though, so I'll see it later.
Was there a Kermit balloon this year?
Happy Thanksgiving!
:)
I really liked Sam too. I do like the new performers of Statler and Waldorf, though I'm not sure where I stand on the politics of the issue. Still, the show continues to be entertaining.
:boo:  :attitude:
I just got the 2-disc collectors' dvd of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but when I open the case I can swear I smell chocolate! It smells like a chocolate scratch-and-sniff sticker. I can't tell if it's the dvd, the trading cards, or the insert, but I...
I might be digging a hole for myself by jumping in, and I do hope that the puns will rest in peace after all of the good ones have dried up, (and only the more cryptic ones are left), but congrats on the new job, Kevin!
:)
I like the new merchandise--but what's with the warning on half of it about "a substance" that causes cancer and birth defects?! That's not what I want for Christmas...
I tend to agree. Beavis and Butthead is a different case, because that was a very smart show making fun of very dumb characters. The whole point was that you were really laught at them. Well, okay, sometimes I was laughing with them... Uh, huh huh huh huh.
;)
But I'm not super-fond of...
I saw a nano-second of the yip-yip thing right before I was changing to something else. I stopped to watch. It was funny to see that spoofed, though ordinarily I'm not a big fan of the show.
I just got finished watching everything on the disc. What a nice set of bonus materials! I have to say, the bloopers were probably my favorite part (aside from the special itself, of course). Hearing Frank Oz as Ma Otter exclaim "Sweet Jesus!" on the millionth take of the drum rolling out the...
I liked this one a lot. The weather guy skit, I thought, was very clever. And S&W got off so many good lines (especially the "exit strategy" one). I laughed out loud. Anyway, good show--bring on more!
