We've been buying a lot of vintage SS cassettes lately, and it IS hard to tell, but not impossible - interestingly enough, my three-year-old can tell the difference better than I can!
Something else just struck me about this - if this puppet is everything the builder says it is, he's selling it way too cheap.
I've never sold a muppet-style puppet, but when we used to sell the original Celastic and wood profesionnal-size marionettes, we'd figure out all the material costs...
Everything on any TV show like Sesame Street, including each character, is copywrighted. The guy on Ebay risks getting sued for infringement - and lest you think they don't go after individuals, think again - I've seen it happen in carnivals where they sell cheap foam things with muppet names on...
I believe that even Public Television uses union actors, so they're probably paid scale.
An interesting bit of slightly off-topic trivia: Puppeteers are eligible to join SAG (screen actor's guild) because during Ronald Regan's tenor as president of SAG, he hired Bob Baker's marionettes to do...

So I'm curious, now
What was the question, and what was the answer?
I have to confess, I haven't seen Follow That Bird - but I couldn't stand Grouchland, even though I respect an awful lot of the people who worked on it.
Been thinking about it a little more...was the concept something about night and day...maybe with some Joe Raposo music - not matching the Glass at all?
You know, I vaguely remember that, too - something was done with the clouds sweeping by and the car lights on the expressway, wasn't it? Wish I could remember more...
I like Rosie O'Donnel, but I have to agree with Ssetta on that one. The Elmopalooza video & CD could have been much better.
Why, oh, why, didn't they use the Aaron Neville "I Don't Want To Live On The Moon?" It's not that I don't like the version they used, just that the other one is...
