This is really a shame....I rarely catch RAW any more, but watched it a few weeks ago when they had a storyline running about Freddie. He was back to promote his Biography which just came out about a month ago. WWE Confidential also profiled him recently.
I wonder if they did a...
It wasn't on Jim Henson, but actually Sesame Street. They did briefly cover his contribution to the show though. There's also some footage of Steve and Brian doing Bert and Ernie which is kind of neat.
It's available for sale on VHS and DVD-R from A&E - click here - but they will only ship to...
That's very true, don't peel off the glue until it cools - I've lost some skin that way before. Despite the short-term pain, the burn won't blister as badly if you wait for the glue to heal.
I also recommend the low-temp guns - there's very few materials in puppet building that require...
I (just) found out Caroll has a website! While there is only limited information there (it seems mostly to promote his book and speaking engagements) there are some beautiful paintings of his to see.
If like me you've had your head in the sand about this until now check it out at...
We recently discussed copyright and what constitutes fair use and infringement over in the puppetry forum. There's links there to a copyright website and a copy of the Berne Convention, which is the general basis for international copyright law.
Like Luke said though, ANY use of copyrighted...
Actually, there's a comprehensive Canadian Puppetry site in the works...basically an index to all the professional puppeteers and puppet companies in the country with profiles of each. There will probably be performance listings eventually and maybe a classifieds index. Other features could be...
Well, sounds good but it's a big country! Where *exactly* is everyone from? I'm in Toronto, as is Blink and Jeremy Bear....not sure about everyone else.
CbBoy (who rarely posts) is in Vancouver en route to Seattle. How about you VC2020?
Sure! Ron Lucas is a very well known (well, in his field anyway)Ventriloquist and puppeteer. I've seen him on various TV shows over the years (most probably have, even if they don't remember) and I believe he works frequently in Vegas. His best known characters are Buffalo Billy and Scorch...
The "Great Performances" episode wasn't good, but it was done for PBS, not A&E's "Biography."
They have technically covered his life in part of the "Sesame Street" Biography special but that was very short on facts and more in the style of their "TVography" episodes.
YEah...the button worked the second time I tried it but not the first. It's a great site, except that it was slow to load when I was attempting to load it - either the files are very large or the server slow. Dial-up users might get a little frustrated, but there is an HTML version so that's...
Nevermind....I was browsing through Scarcroe's site and stumbled across the answer. If there anyone out there more out of the loop than me just visit the BBB for yourselves.
;)
I was wrong...I saw an item tonight on "Much News" that Much Music will be airing the MTV Movie Awards in Canada soon - next Saturday (June 7th) at 9 p.m.
This is from star wars.com. Sadly, I probably won't see it for awhile, seeing as how MTV Canada snapped up the broadcast rights to this year's show (nobody gets MTV Canada up here):
Wins an MTV Movie Award, Yoda Does

Disproving the notion that MTV only caters to the younger...
This is brilliant casting! :excited: But with the two possible exceptions so far of Gollum and Yoda, I'm still not convinced CG characters are ready for prime time (so to speak).
Guess we'll have to wait to see what the Hulk and Scooby 2.0 look like. Still, they should have got the Creature...
