Hi all,
For most of the summer I've been slowly putting together a Web comic that mixes puppetry/animation/computer graphics called Bear Town. Basically it's a collage of computer-rendered art, photos of puppets and digitized video of puppet performance. I'm planning to launch the web comic...
I've used beads from a local bead supply place to make baby teeth for Audrey II puppets for Little Shop of Horrors. Wal-Mart carries the same kind, usuall in packs of 100 or so for 99 cents.
We've had dozens of puppets bought from and custom made by Marlene over the past ten years. I have never seen/heard of any problems with mouths on any of her puppets. The mouths on her puppets are usually fairly rigid, but she will usually make them flexible upon request. Just make sure you...
That'd be the info up there in Blink's post. If you get in touch with her directly I am sure she would be able to answer any questions you might have. Marlene does excellent work and if you are looking for an inexpensive basic puppet the quality of her work for the prices she charges is...
I agree with the general consensus that "The Muppet Movie" was the best film and that the first three were really Jim Henson movies. I don't think it's completely fair to compare the mid-90s films to those three because they were adaptations, forcing the Muppets in to a set (more or less)...
It's possible that they are using both studios, although that is unusual it has been done before, largely because as I understand there are sometimes space issues when multiple films are shooting in the UK at the same time. We have a similar problem here in Canada when large Hollywood...
I've actually found that for most things, a medium density 3/4" foam is ideal. 3/4" is hard to find though and not usually stocked by fabric shops, camping stores or the other more common places to find foam. You would have to look up a foam supplier or manufacturer in your area or try finding a...
I think you have to agree to install a small application on your computer in order to watch the webcam. It should start downloading automatically. If it doesn't you could be on a network with a firewall that prohibits that sort of thing.
Hi all,
Stumbled across this great link while I was at work doing some research - it's great, a live webcam from the Vancouver Aquarium. You can watch the Balooga whales swim around!
Check it out - www.vanaqua.org/belugacam/.
FYI - I moved The Tumbles P. Bear Project over to my Bear Town site since that's what he's being made for anyways. The new URL is http://www.bear-town.com/backstage.htm. Adjust your bookmarks accordingly.
For anyone who can't wait, the text from part four has been posted tonight. I'll have...
I pulled this out of the TV show section of the Puppetry.ca database, which is still being compiled:
Created by award-winning cartoonist/animator Henri Desclez, this colorful puppet series places important early elementary learning in an unusual and fun classroom setting. CLEANLINESS, COLORS...
Not yet...but in the meantime here's two of those other "puppet bin" articles I mentioned. I've reposted then on my old Geocities site:
