P.S. ~ I think a copyright addition to the FAQ is a great idea Fragglerockr. Both sides of this debate to get covered over and over again...mostly because of newer people I think.
Oh, and those Hallowe'en costumes - they're fair use. See? No hypocrisy whatsoever. :D
I'm not sure why the hostility has been ratcheted up so high all of a sudden - 5th grade tattletale? I absolutely resent that.
Given the opportunity I can cut it down with the 3rd graders (at least). :p
Look, I think we're arguing two sides of the same coin here. I've never claimed to be a...
Sigh. Here we go again.
This has been discussed to death umpteen millions times (which I realize newer members may not be aware of) but most fan produced items made for personal use and not sale are legal under copyright laws because they are considered "fair use." There's a...
You want 1/2 dome eyes. They come in a couple of sizes and are sold by a company called Mercury Plastics. Mercury only sells in bulk (I think their minimum order is about 1,000 pairs) but you can buy them individually from McGinnis Puppets.
What most people (myself included) don't like is people creating Muppet replicas and selling them. I was actually interested in the fabric for making some kid's Hallowe'en costumes.
Hi all,
Sent this out via my mailing list, but thought I would mention here that if anyone is trying to access my site - www.bear-town.com - part (or all) of it will be offline over the next week while I do a major upgrade. They'll be a new look, a new forum, some spiffy flash animation and...
Just posted a blurb about this in my Blog and thought some of you might be interested - it's from the Louisville Courier-Journal and is about that fact that (duh) puppets aren't just for kids.
`Ya gotta love how clued-in the media is. To be fair, it's not the worst of these...
Well, they weren't on the Muppet Show, but at least one of the cast & writers of Saturday Night Live reportedly had plush Muppets hanging in their offices in little nooses with signs that read "I don't write for felt" back when the Muppets were on SNL.
Yes, but not as "The Scarecroe." He's just called Jonathan Crane in the copies of the script that have been seen so far. He's still a professor obsessed with fear, but he doesn't have the costume which I guess the filmmakers thought was a little hokey for a "serious" Batman movie.
It won't. They are currently producing the 16th season. If the actors stay away too long they'll replace them, which would be a shame. I read in the National Post today that the series is actually worth well over $1 billion in syndication alone to Fox so the cast's demands really do seem kinda...
The two Batman must-read comics in my opinion are Frank Miller's "Batman: Year One" and his "The Dark Knight Returns". I also really enjoyed the "No Man's Land" storyline, which has been collected in to a series of five graphic novels ("No Man's Land Vol. 1, Vol. 2, etc.). The book "Batman &...
The thing is, if people love to build Muppets and do their favourite character's voices that's all well and good (provided that it's not for profit), but if you're really serious about being a puppeteer or builder for the Muppets - or anyone else - you should try to be as talented as possible...
There's rumours that it's not Batman's primary wheels in the movie - it's some kind off-road vehicle he uses at one point in the film. Let's hope.
I mean honestly, Batman is one of the greatest 20th century myths...it's not that hard to make a really good, really cool movie out of it.
Actually Luke, that's not true. They currently pull in $125,00 per episode - most sitcom actors make much more than that on US shows that are half as successful as the Simpsons and many actors on popular long running shows like the cast of Friends or Ray Romano make $1 million per episode or...
Yup, the site itself is down as of this writing. I can't get in to it with a web browser or successfully ping it either. It was working part of yesterday though.
