I don't think it's what you meant, but for the record everyone DO NOT use duct tape to make puppet mouths. Once you start sweating, well, it won't end well.
Here's an article about the festival from the Ottawa Citizen:

I posted something that I think you'd all enjoy having via my blog today...the original article from Women's Day in 1969 that contains a pattern for a small anything Muppet and a Jerry Juhl script entitled "The Purple-Necked, Black-Bearded Blatch".
I've had the pattern for years, but it was...
Hi everyone,
This may sound like an odd request...but I know there are several of you in Texas and I've been trying to find some info. In August I may have to go from either San Antonio or Houston down to Mexico and I wanted to go by bus. Does anyone know where you go to get info about bus...
Hi all,
For those on the board who are interested (especially those relatively new to puppet construction) I updated my Guide To Puppet Building Resources today.
I think just about everything I added to it has already been discussed here, but if you're looking for general puppet building...
I will be booking a table as soon as the forms become available, so if anyone wants in on that let me know. I'm sure we could all figure out a way to keep the cost of accommodations down too.
I will be at ComicCon next year, this sounds like a great idea!
Incidently, I'm also looking to go halfsies on a booth if you or anyone else you know is seriously interested in that.
You could actually build Pepe using a lever if you wanted though. The easiest way would be to use a fish hook remover.
There's a picture of one here - http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/angrypuppets/detail?.dir=0b37&.dnm=f092.jpg
A couple of things....

2. What you have to do with the fleece is pattern it so that it covers the head properly, a process in dressmaking called draping. It's a little tricky to do and takes some practice. Try googling...
They've had these for awhile...they were at the SXSWi Conference and did a whole panel with the Homestar puppet. I've posted links to more HR puppet videos at http://puppetvision.blogspot.com/2005/04/homestar-runner-sxswi.html
Mike Peterson - a puppeteer on Fraggle Rock and Labryinth among other things - has a show in this year's Toronto Fringe Festival called "Don't Get Me Started". From what I have been reading it seems to be the story of his life and features a Fraggle puppet made by Terry Angus.
I've posted...
This is such a horrible, barbaric attack. I hope all the MCers in London (I know there are at least a few of you) and their families are all safe and sound.
For those interested, Boing Boing has good collection of links to photos and blog coverage -...
From the Balcony: Episode Two
Just an FYI everyone, there is a new episode of "From The Balcony" available at movies.com - http://movies.go.com/moviesdynamic/muppets/
Rowlf turns up briefly in this one.
Here's a link to a terriffic free online sewing book - http://craftandfabriclinks.com/sewingbook/sewbook.html
I know questions about sewing often come up here, and I suspect many people on the board (myself included) have never been taught how to sew properly and taught themselves on a...
