A few people have mentioned this problem to me, I don't think mods can help with that, I believe it's an admin-only function. I've emailed Phil about (as have others I think) and started this thread in the feedback section. No response yet.
John Kennedy's great (and cheap!) book "Puppet Mania" has a fantastic, easy method for converting plush toys in to puppets. You could also take apart a plush Blue's Clues toy and study it's pattern.
Shtick, this has actually been discussed many, many times. What Topper's referring to is what's called "the wedge method". You take 6-8 wedges of foam and glue them together like slices of an orange. For a perfectly round ball the ratio of the wedge's height to its width is 4:1 (the wedge should...
Thanks, no the mouth can not be articulated because he had to be built fast and cheap. I'm going to be getting some new cockroaches built that have fully articulated mouths though.
Incidently, if you're looking for rod puppet starter info check out Nick Barone's website (scroll down to "Rod...
I've heard from several people trying to join MC over the past few weeks that they have not had their memberships validated, I think they're waiting for the confirmation email.
Is it possible for one of the Mods to look in to this?

Aljo dye, it's called Aljo dye. The name came back to me seconds after my last post. Search the forum for the company's contact info and where to order it.
I use RIT dye, which works fine. You can even get good results from Tintex - which is a horrible dye. There is another dye that is supposed to be better than RIT which a lot of professional builders prefer but I can't recall the name.
As always, search under "dye" here in the forum and you'll...
Well, that depends. You can't just make an Ernie for example and change a few features and call it original. What's prohibited by copyright law is what are called "Derivative Works". What you are legally allowed to do with a copyrighted work (like a Muppet) is called "Fair Use."
The line...
It seems to be using a weird codec, I had to open it with Windows Media Player too. If anyone can't open it try loading it in to Windows Moviemaker and playing it back through that.
We did actually meet up. There was some confusion, but people ended up at Jack Astor's about an hour later than originally planned. I was late to arrive, but it was great meeting everyone and it was really nice to put some names to faces.
Zack is doing a callback today and some of the people...
Sorry to hear that Kevin, but hey it's just one audition right?
They apparently advertised the auditions in Eye Magazine and that probably brought out a lot of people with little or no puppetry experience.
BTW, nobody confirmed anything with me about the dinner so I called it off. I did...
I have sent an email with info about the dinner to everyone who replied to my emails and PMs...we're planning on having dinner at Jack Astor's at 144 Front Street West. I can send you more specifics, a map and group contact info if you PM me.
