It's a very precious balance that's next to impossible to keep. I've noticed that in my fanfics, there's always some little moments where Kermit just needs someone to lean on. In some stories, he always goes to Fozzie (or Fozzie always goes to him), and in others, he always goes to Miss Piggy...
You know... you know what that chapter makes me want to do?
Sing.
It's so... so beautiful. So touching. So... I love it.
...Please tell me, we'll see them all together again?
Wow.
It starts a little bitter sweet.
And then, it sort of... shifts into this... typical Muppetness.
And that... I needed that, by the way.
I also have to say something about how you've been refering to Kermit. "Their green hero." "Their fearless leader." Painting this noble picture of...
I was thinking that MGov meant that since they're still kids and such, the public shouldn't know the details of their lives "just because" they're related to Jim Henson. Although what Infinity Sirius said makes sense, too.
So I guess, um, no one picked up on uh, something? Or rather some things, plural, but something specifically. I'm wondering if no one picked up on it, or if some one just forgot to mention it, or... well, maybe someone'll catch it eventually.
Oh and uh, about this:
<devious twinkle in eye>...
Sorry I haven't been commenting, minor muppetz, I have been reading and enjoying.
I have to say, you have the Dodo's down perfectly. "I do now. I learned from my sister." Love it!
And now this last bit, with Daddy Dodo going to grouchland, and the bit from before that you've reminded us of...
Lisa: Hey guys.
Rowlf: <does a double take> Lisa? What are YOU doing here?
Lisa: <blink> Hello to you too. What I didn't remember while running out the door this morning is that we had a half-day. My school got out two hours ago.
Chef: Vell zeen, vhy ere-a yuoo joost getteeng here-a?
Lisa...
Welcome, Gags Beazley! Make yourself right at home here, we're a pretty friendly (wacky crazy insane not anything remotely close to normal-in a good way) group of people and I bet you'll fit right in!
OH MY GOSH AND GOLLY! Just J, You've got me SOOOOOO excited right now from this chapter! OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I feel like, like, I'm right next to Miss Piggy and I've got this little mug of hot chocolate and I'm looking at the fire and at EVERYBODY around me and I am SO completely in the...
prawncracker.
I would love to tell you just how meaningful and touching and amazing and heartwrenchingly depressing and yet- somehow- just a little- hopeful... that chapter is.
But I can't. I can't because I'm just so overwhelmed right now by so many things in... <sigh> Somebody's blessing you...
Wouldn't it be incredibly amusing if someone at a Muppet fan site absolutely hated frogs? I mean, with Kermit, it seems a little oxy-moronic... <shrug>
congrats on a hundred posts, muppetsforlife!
About what GonzoLeaper said about never having too many Christmas movies, I don't think I could agree more. I mean, yes, it's nice to have a whole slew of secular stuff that I don't feel awkward discussing in my (Jewish) youth group. But on the...
Chapter ten
“Thanks for the ride, Wilson!” Kermit called to the man in the truck. “Tell Mary and Pilgrim I say hi!”
“I sure will!” Wilson called back. “Welcome home, Mr. Frog!”
“Wilson, I’ve told you before, you can call me Kermit!” the frog said.
“Sure thing, Mr. Frog!” Wilson said...
About the pogs and figs issue... actually, I seem to remember there being a thread about that... er, somewhere... I dunno. Anyways. In the Ruth Buzzi episode of TMS, there's this Robot Kermit who flirts with Miss Piggy, saying they could have bouncing baby figs. ...ok so that doesn't really...
<headslap> I wasn't refering to the Guru! Aw, sheesh, do I have to point to it or something? Look at who's on the panel: Mildred, Miss Piggy, the Guru, and who else? Sheesh! And about the Guru, well, what does he really have to do with anything? I mean, really...
Now then. I should really be...
OH!!!!!!!!!!
Come in, Fozzie, come in. Miss Piggy, can I come in, too? Please oh pretty please? Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh now I'm gonna cry! SHE MISSES THEM, TOO!!!!!!!! Oh, it's just so..... I need to give somebody a hug! Just J! Just J, have a well-earned hug! <HUG!!!!>
You know... the other night, I was thinking, something's missing... what am I missing lately that I used to have a lot of?... And, having just read this, I figured it out. It's your writing! It is so, so, SOOOOOOOOO beautifully done, and I can't wait for more.
...nice to see what's going on...
