The event at the community center was a spur-of-the-moment thing that came up during filming as a make-up for the fact that the Muppets had to actually leave before the end of shooting. They did their "move that bus" bits to be edited in later.
And the community center thing was a royal pain...
Interesting how in another thread someone mentioned that Steve was a workhorse... its amazing to me that he's doing FOUR days of 1.5 hour lecture plus THREE 1.5 hour workshops in a row! Holy cow! He's totally pushing the envelope for stamina, that's for sure!
And happy day... my wife set me...
dwayne1115: Yes... it was terriffically cool. In many many ways. The least of which being that I got to hang around and see the magic happening.
Beauregard: yup... the "many Beakers" were there in the "secret black trailer". It was awesomely cool to see them up close and personal.
Zeppo...
Rowlf, as far as I could determine, was not on-set at all. Its now Bill Baretta that is performing Rowlf and he was mucho busy handling all his own. I would have loved to been in proximity to Rowlf, for sure!

Romanafraggle (great name, BTW... Who fan here too)...
I have to say that it's no small event or me to do this one myself! I sent the notice to my wife just to say, "Look at this.. can you believe its only $40?". I NEVER expected her to say "So did you register yet?"
We aren't folks of...
I was on set for three days of the shoot. I was actually in the room just before they shot the Bunsen & Beaker shtick. There was quite a bit of fuss about the Beaker puppet. Originally they intended it to be the "steam out the ears" Beaker, but the fog machine they wanted to use just didn't...
Howdy everyone!
I will be flying in to attend the lecture/workshop on the 17th.
I live in Minneapolis, so it's kind-of a jaunt for me!
Luckily, my wife and I happen to be in a spot financially where we can invest this money to my "puppet education". Otherwise, I'd be on the outside...
I was on-set for the shooting of this particular Home Makeover... I was honored to provide some special props for the Muppets!
I won't release any "spoilers", but I can tell you, if the final show is one tenth as entertaining as what I saw going on there, you're all going to laugh your heads...
Ok gang - let the mass submissions begin... NOMINATE TV-TV for a Streamy Award! Hey Fans! The Steamy Awards Public Submissions is now OPEN. Please submit Transylvania Television (or one of our cast or crew) for any of 35 different award nominations (we'd like to suggest: Best New Web Series or...
I have the entire Forma series (still waiting on a fleece covering pattern to be available for the Ovale! HINT HINT!).
The only trepidation I had about the patterns is the air-space in side the head. I still haven't figured out my favorite way of snugging up the hand-fit inside.
I don't like...
Most of the terry cloth I've ever dealt with had a pretty large weave to it. Not like burlap or anything, mind you, but large enough to make it unattractive as a material to work with (to me). It has a very particular nap to it that, when used in an unexpected way, will probably look really...
Once again, there aren't any really hard an fast rules of building a puppet... and different people learn in different ways.
One person will find The Foam Book incredibly helpful. Others will like the Project Puppet patterns. While yet others will reinvent the whole thing themselves and never...
George is definitely one of the most appealing human Muppets.
I believe his head is carved foam... not a fleece covered thing. So if you want to be "screen accurate" you're going to have to investigate your talent for carving foam. There are plenty of tutorials out there with that...
Yeah, I'm pretty excited about it. It'll help me keep the doors to my studio open a while longer!
And that means I'll be able to keep producing Transylvania Television!
