(I took detailed notes) :)
Hi guys!
I have a lovely Kermit The Frog phone (pushbutton version) for sale. Its the full-figure one where Kermit is sitting in a chair and the receiver hangs on his foot.
$40 plus shipping.
I will send jpegs via email if you're interested. Request them from: Spcglider@aol.com...
Thanks Waldo!
This entire trip is an "investment". I have been struggling trying to teach my puppeteers what I've learned just through experimentation and practice over the years. Not that I'm a pro by any means! But I find I have a hard time teaching what has been mostly intuitive for me...
Yes. I do a thing called "Transylvania Television" on the web. That's my group. obviously I haven't been doing my job if you haven't been exposed to us! LOL!

I recommend RIT dye over most others. And I have to caution you STRONGLY away from the brand called Dyelon or Dylon or whatever it is. It sucks.
The other thing I suggest is that after you've dyed the fabric, rinsed it thoroughly and wrung out as much moisture as you can, that you lay it out...
Its funny that someone mentions "stunts work"... it doesn't show in the footage they used, but Statler and Waldorf (Steve and Dave) were ACTUALLY about 25 feet off the ground in a scissor lift! Like I mentioned earlier, there's so much stuff that they shot (and multiple iterations of stuff) that...
Really? Hmmm... I never considered that! ;)
But seriously, the opportunity to carry the useful instruction (and instruction style) back to my merry band of fleece animators is beyond value.
The fact that it was only $40 total on the seminar was unbelievable.
So do we know if this is...
In case anybody is wondering... Steve and Kermit WERE, in fact, inside the cab of the demolition wrecker when they were crunching down the first part of the house!

Actually what is truly amazing is the sheer amount of stuff they shot that didn't appear in the actual show. Also the amount of stuff they shot that I had no idea was being shot "right under my nose" as it were. I can tell you exactly WHERE each and every shot was taken on set, but you got me...
I only spoke briefly with Dave and most of our conversation was reminiscences about Jerry Juhl. It was just a convenient starting point... we both knew Jerry... so that's where the conversation began. Sadly, the demands of shooting didn't provide Dave with a lot of "down time" so that was pretty...
In my dim past, I worked for an upscale toy store (where I got irrevokably hooked on Playmobil... but I digress) and I used to sell Steiff. This was back in the late 1980's and early 1990's mind you.
They produced a "Classic" Winnie the Pooh set that was dead nutz on. All the characters...
You'll have to ask Jim Lewis about it, but from what I could gather, they had originally just thought they were going to do "Rainbow Connection" as the musical number, but I guess Jim really really lobbied hard to get the okay to do "One Whole Person" instead.
I think that was wise.

Interesting bit of conversation snipppet with Steve Whitmire: His first puppetry job was at the World Of Sid & Marty Krofft theme park in Atlanta, GA. Groovy! Sadly the park closed after only a few months after opening. Didn't even make it a full year as far as I know. It was located in the...
