Question about "Don't Want to Live on the Moon"

I'm not familiar with either of these singers (Aaron Neville or Shawn Colvin). Which one of these was the black dude with the earring? Thanks, -Sidebottom Sesame Street outtake... Ernie: "All you need is a word that rhymes with -- oh, rats!" Telly: "Rats... Uh, flats!"

    Japanese Sesame Street Idea

An Australian wild dog. Not a marsupial, as many assume, but an honest-to-blood canine, introduced to the continent either by the aboriginals or the Europeans -- I'm not sure which. -Sidebottom

    When did Fragges get good?

Actually, I believe the line is "I--I just did...what I really wanted to do!" The message being that Gobo did really want to be an explorer after all, but he needed a situation like this to help him realize it. And also, as far as I know, it's spelled "Garboil". But, as always, I may be...

Red & Mokey's former residence? Help

In one scene in "New Trash Heap in Town", we see a lot of Fraggles sleeping on the ground, presumably in the Great Hall and just around the Rock. Maybe that's the way it is for most of them. Clearly Fraggles don't have any problems with just sleeping "anywhere" -- witness "Boober's Dream"...

    Philip Balsam & Dennis Lee

Actually, Dennis Lee was already an extremely successful poet, both for kids and for adults, when he went to work on Fraggle Rock. He's famous (at least here in his native Canada) for books like Alligator Pie (which came out in the seventies), Garbage Delight, and The Difficulty of Living on...

    Body Sounds

Does anyone remember an old Sesame Street song about the different sounds that your body made? (I realize that that sounds really weird...:smirk: ) The song was performed by (I believe) Little Jerry, along with a whole bunch of Anything Muppets -- one of whom had a beating heart, one of whom...

    Fraggles in Muppet Specials

Actually, Mokey, Gobo, and Wembley are all there. And, of course, there're also clips from Fraggle Rock of the Fraggles singing "The Rock Goes On" and "We Are the Children of Tomorrow". Not nearly enough Fraggle content in that special if you ask me. Although that whole 5-4-3-2 Fraggle...

    Ernie and Bert Question

Someone once suggested on this forum that in the absence of actual last names for these characters, it would be fun to refer to them as "Ernie Henson" and "Bert Oz". I kinda like that. -Sidebottom

    World Peace

Okay. As most of you know, Jim Henson created Fraggle Rock in order to bring peace to the world. If you, like Jim, are committed to world peace, visit http://www.geocities.com/wearaleaf and wear a leaf for peace! Please forward this message to everyone you know, put up and hand out...

    The Jim Henson Hour

Hey everybodeeeee! I'm looking for (North American style) videos of The Jim Henson Hour. The only episode I have is "Secrets of the Muppets", and I'm dying to see the others! In return, I have almost every episode of Fraggle Rock, and I'd be happy to trade any of them for JHH episodes...

    Still missing Jim...

Douglas Adams (only one "D") was an amazing British author who passed away a year or two ago. He wrote the hilarious science-fiction/comedy radio play, The Hitch Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy, as well as the series of novels that were based on it. He also wrote the two Dirk Gently novels, also...

    Most favorite Sesame Street skit

Ernie and Bert forever, man. :p :( Especially eating cookies in bed. And "here fishy fishy". And teaching the pigeon to play checkers. And Bert with the pot on his head. Actually, my very favourite is probably their rhyming game. "I don't want to play a game with rhymes." "Nice...

    The Great Gonzo the Great

I love how Gonzo apologizes to Amy when he loses a customer. :D That was a nice touch. Something I've noticed, though, and correct me if I'm wrong. Gonzo's always done painful things. These days, he seems to do painful things because they're painful. But back on The Muppet Show, he did...
