    Growing/Wilting Plant "Puppets"?

I don't know if this qualifies as a puppet but since Its been done by puppeteers I assume this is considered as a puppet. In the "Take the first step" scene in Elmo in Grouchland, there are these little plants in the background that grow and "ungrow" rhythmicly to the music. How does the...

    Puppet Transport and Storage?

What is the best way to transport puppets? I tried a duffel bag, but it doesn't seem to be safe enough, it got banged around. Is some special position required for maximum safety? How about puppet storage? I know the Muppet folks put them in file cabinets, but are there any alternatives for...

    Painting Eyes

I saw some of them behind the scenes clips on swazzle. One of them showed one of the builders painting the pupils on the eyes. How do they do this with enough precision for the eyes to be in the right place? Do they draw on it first? How is it measured? Does one paint the eyes before or after...

    Foam Rings

I recently started using those little CD spindle foam rings in my puppet projects. If you own a CDR Drive, you definitely know what these are. Very useful. Good for blinking eyes a la Floyd Pepper. Anyhoo. I was curious if anyone knows of any companys that manufacture polyfoam in weird shapes?

    Liquid Foam?

Is there such a thing as liquid polyfoam that could be poured into a mold? I have seen this weird liquid polyfoam that hardens to a very stiff blob which is used to float boats. I've also seen that liquid spray stuff used for insulation or stuffing up holes in walls. Is there such a thing as...

    Of Patterns and Arm Rods

Being a broke-as-a-joke college student, I'm scrapped for cash. I do however want to get a hold of a ProjectPuppet pattern because I hear so many great things about it. Although now that I hear it doesn't come with foam anymore I don't know if its worth the loot. However. My question is, does...
