The soundtrack is great. I've been listening to it so many times, I wonder if I'll get tired of the songs by the time the movie comes to DVD. Nah....
The tracks I skip the most are The Muppet Show Theme, Rainbow Connection (Moopets version), The Whistling Caruso, and Mahna Mahna. I am...
I've been watching this rehearsal footage of the finale quite a bit, especially in the weeks before the movie came out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyJuK_DINvg
It sounds like some of the chorus lines were rerecorded by the time the movie came out (it had been announced that some of the finale...
Tough Pigs had an article about an event that Frank Oz spoke at, and Frank Oz mentioned that when the Rupunzel sketch was being taped, Oz asked Jon Stone what the sketch was teaching, to which Stone asked, "Who cares?"
That edit appears on the 1999 VHS release, but it was restored for the DVD release. Oddly enough, that VHS release (but not the DVD) also edited out the Tri-Star Pictures music.
I know of edits that have been made to most of the movies, but I don't really know of any edits made to The Muppet...
Looking at the website it seems the company normally releases five figures a series. So I guess series 1 would be Kermit, Fozzie, Piggy, Gonzo, and one other character, I'm guessing Animal (most likely, though I'd prefer they make series 2 The Electric Mayhem and include Animal there), but maybe...
I haven't seen any copies of the Playhouse Video compilations in person since 1996 (and the only ones I've watched since were the few that have been posted to YouTube). Whenever I find a video store or library I haven't been to I look to see if there are any copies there. I frequently search...
Maybe because she's hot...... :D
Though when I was wondering if she'd be concerned about Gary's Muppet fandom, I didn't think Mary would be a "stick-in-the-mud". Her attitude regarding her jealousy of Walter is pretty much how I would have expected her attitude to be if she was jealous of the...
I've recently found a clip from episode 3083: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqITOAuW7Q8
One thing that I noticed: When Bruno whispers to Oscar, it looks more like he's trying to kiss Oscar. Yeah, it's hard for Caroll Spinney to move Bruno's mouth when he's got his hands full with Oscar, but...
I remember reading this post when it was posted, and all these years I had misread/misremembered it as saying that most of the trivia contradicted things mentioned in the videos themselves. Which would have been funnier.
At one point in Gonzo Presents Muppet Weird Stuff, several Gonzo clips are shown in a row (including clips from the movies, every other clip). I recall that when most of those clips end and the next ones start, they cut to a shot of Gonzo watching them on TV, I think making some comments or...
I'd read that the credit for Bill Barretta performing Foozie was a mistake and it was actually Tyler Bunch (and that it'll be corrected for the DVD... So I guess that'll make the theatrical release a rarity). It makes me wonder if Matt Vogel performing Roowlf was a mistake. Muppet Wiki mentions...
Here's what I think might make a good rundown for a video game based on the new movie (and yes, some ideas were first posted/desired by others in this thread and I think elsewhere).
Introduction: Walter gets ready to visit the Muppet Studios.
Level 1: Walter tries to make it to Kermit's...
Enjoy this special Muppet compilation starring Walter!
Walter: Hi, Muppet fans! I am Walter, and today I'm showcasing some of my favorite musical moments from the Muppets, both the movie and the franchise. First, a song from the movie, and I got to sing it.
(Leads to "Life's a Happy Song"...
Rizzo also spoke the line "That's okay, there's no food either" when Kermit points out there's no phone to call room service to order food (and says "alright" when one of the rats says "come on, Rizzo!"). I think Rizzo also gets out an "And me!" during the finale, though I can't tell if it's him...
I haven't seen the broadcast version as often as the extended, but I don't think it makes too big a difference to me whether it's the extended or not. And I thought it was a bit pointless to make it extended and still have a deleted scenes feature. I like that the extended version gives us more...
Interestingly, I've thought of quite a few ideas for Muppet games where the ideas were basically taken from existing games, but there was an idea I was thinking of recently which was similar to an existing game, but had no idea of the plot until yesterday when I got the game for Christmas. The...
