You may not think it is that much different and he still sort of sounds like Big Bird, but only if Big Bird was going to have a chronic cold for the rest of his life. haha.
Maybe because Floyd was Nelson's main character and if they use him they will feel they need to use the other EM members with him and maybe there is no need for it. Same with Robin. He isn't in demand for such appearances. If you look at the list of characters that they are looking for, they...
Matt Vogel mainly does the Journey to Ernie segments and sometime a few tiny bits here and there. Carroll Spinney still performs him in the main street scenes and in big songs/sketches.
Yes, but this was before the character's personality was completely made over by Spinney and Henson to the child-like Big Bird we have all grown up with. The original Big Bird from the first couple years was just a big dumb bird from the country. That's why his voice was more like that at first.
I second this comment. This is such a common topic of discussion around here, as is expected. We don't give the newer Muppeteers enough credit though. For the most part, they are doing just fine. Of course they aren't going to sound exactly like the original performers. You can't expect...
Jell-o is a brand name of gelatin desert. So any gelatin desert (no matter what company brandname) we call Jell-o. The fruit stuff we put on our toast we call it jelly and jam. They are two different condiments.
Just let it be all about you and her. Nothing else. This is your time. Make sure she is appreciative too. Make sure she has a good time but don't push too much on her. Take it easy and relax. I look forward to hearing how it turns out. So does Oscar. Right, Oscar?
:grouchy: Get lost...
I hope they can get other characters to do the mini segments other than Bill Baretta's. Maybe it is just easier to use him because he is more available than others. Steve Whitmire and Eric Jacobson are both committed to Sesame Street as well. Probably doesn't take much time to tape these...
Icidentally, I was just veiwing your profile (just for kicks) and you remind me of myself in certain ways. Just how you responded to many of the questions. I am also studying theater in college and am working as an actor. Kermit is also one of my heroes and hope to work with them someday as a...
Goodluck, man! We're pulling for ya!! Sorry for not getting on AIM yet. If we can't talk on there we can still chat on the boards or you can send me PMs and I will surely reply to you. :)
This is pretty common. It is also done when Big Bird and Oscar have to appear in a scene together. One great example of this is in Christmas Eve on Sesame Street. However, I am wondering if Carroll Spinney did both of the voices live just going back and forth while someone else manipulated...
Sorry, but what does this have to do with anything here? Also, he didn't screw up Fozzie. The voice have slipped a couple times and sounded more like Piggy, but the voice was good and the personality was definitely there (as Fozzie and Lion at the same time). Plus, it is his first shot at...
I won't disagree with this. Oscar definitely helped drive the film. Cookie Monster was just a great comedic supporting character. His little moments were always so great. The interactions between him and Gordon were hilarious. Eating the car? I can't believe he was eating the car!
