You both have valid points, and while I can be quite dry or over-silly (live with it!), I also enjoy all of these well thought-out points.
Fozzie being like a child is soooooo part of his schtick in The Great Muppet Caper, eh? I'm glad Pepe has spiced things up (although he really only had...
Yeah, it was beautiful, the shooting star - Kermit with his Hat (not unlike the one he wears in the John Denver Christmas album cover - another sad thing). I know what you mean. It's the 1st lumpy-throat part of that movie, I think. Likely the best post-Jim project.
I'm wondering something... in IaVMMCM, when Kermit says to David Arquette "You don't run one of those Muppet fan sites, do you?" if the people who run this site thought/felt anything??
Not likely. When would the adult Kermit hear her? Is she going to call the theatre? I doubt they'll have in back in the swamp anytime soon!
Besides, it wasn't meant to be funny.
I don't know - I was surprised at myself for how moved I was at Fozzie and Piggy during IaVMMCM, particularily in the alternate-time scenes. (and when Fozzie lost the $).
Come to think of it, I think that's the best muppet project done so far this decade by a lopng shot. Too bad it was MGM/NBC...
All of that applies to what was wrong w/ Oz. I thought right away though - some disposable R&B singer? pfft! That was already 'done' in 1978 with 'The Whiz'
How 'bout an a-c-t-o-r playing Dorothy? They could have broken the 4th wall just a teeny bit more. Although I think it was a good...
I'm not evil, NOR have I sEEN any evilness amounst the YOUNG puppeteers in Almonte.
... I just call the balcony's RANDOM SHARK ATTACKS!!!!!!
mwa-ha-HAAAAAAAA!
I don't think that one performance did it necessarily - it just kind of sums up the general lowering of quality standards which they've shown since, well, the abscence of Brian Henson IMO.
Not unlike Jar-Jar Binks. He's not the only thing people hate about the SW prequels, but man, oh man...
You raise a good point. And yes, I do do my own thing with many things, etc.
However... this thread is the Muppet audition 2005 thread, if I'm not mistaken!!! We've got a right to buzz since it's been on our heads, torturing us for months and months!!! :p
So.. are there any people who did...
