I can understand in some cases where you would say that they have "dumbed down" a bit. This is strange because that is what originally separated Sesame from other shows and that is that they never talked down to their young audience.

I wonder if they feel he needs to wear his helmet for us to recognize him. Because without the hat, he could just be passed off as any old Anything Muppet. Just a thought. Besides, its kinda funny that he wears the hard hat even in the bath.
