Last night I dreamt that I learned several new facts about the Muppets, from a reliable source, and yet all the facts contradicted facts that I've known about for years.
And I can't remember what any of the facts are anymore.
At the end of the Julie Andrews episode, during the goodnight Kermit says that "this has really been a moooo-ving experience", referencing the cow backstage. But for the most part, the cow was only on-stage (the only known instance of the cow on-stage being when The Swedish Chef brings it on his...
Did anyone else ever think that the white dress Jenny wears at the premiere of Manhattan Melodies looked like a wedding dress? That's what I used to think, even though we didn't see her get married.
I've mentioned it several posts back, but Nick at Nite actually DID have it's own original shows during it's early years. There was Turkey TV, and National Geographic Explorers originated on Nick at Nite (and then moved to TBS). I've heard there was an "At the Movies with Siskel and Ebert"-type...
But she knew that John Denver was going, so that was one other person going. And it wasn't her idea to go camping.
Gonz would. He almost married Madeline Kahn, only for her to not want to marry him.
123 and Countdown are among the few Sesame Street games I've played. I'm ashamed to admit this, but I was never able to beat the Astro-Grover game in 123.
Recently I noticed that Sesame Street ABC has one non-ABC game (the Rubber Duckie game) and 123 has one non-numbers game (Ernie's Magic...
If this moves forward I hope they don't focus too much more on new characters than old characters. I feel that was one of the mistakes The Jim Henson Hour and Muppets Tonight made (though many of those new characters are great). They should focus on as many classic characters first, and maybe...
In the John Denver episode, after Kermit informs everyone that John Denver had invited them to go camping at the swamp, and they all try to get out of it, Miss Piggy threatens them into going. But right before threatening, she starts her speech with "We're going on a camping trip overnight"...
I heard about that game, but I had no idea it wasn't released. I even looked it up on Muppet Wiki previously and didn't notice it was an unfinished game.
I saw gameplay footage in a video on YouTube called "Sesame Street Game Retrospective", which for a title like that only reviews four games...
I can't believe there's any doubt that Miss Poogy is female. Though I recall before the movie came out some fans seemed to speculate that Miss Poogy was a man in drag, and I think Matt Vogel hinted at that in a pre-The Muppets interview, but the movie doesn't seem to show any such indication...
I feel that even though the movie wasn't merchandised well, it seems like the Wendy's kids meal promotion was advertised more than the actual movie was (well, that's advertisement money Columbia/Henson didn't have to spend, basically free publicity while also getting paid for the license).
I...
My first grade teacher sometimes said "if you don't think your brain will turn into a rock". I thought it was true. But I also didn't know what thinking meant. I also didn't quite know what a brain was (I thought it was the body).
One opinion I have which became my opinion a couple of years ago is that the movie is kinda slow and dull between "Saying Goodbye" and Kermit's meeting with Ronnie. There are still some good moments in-between (parts 1 and 2 of Kermit's three-part plan, Rat Scat, Scooter and Gonzo's post cards)...
Today I thought up a "what if" scenario regarding these releases: What if instead of them being compilations, they were video releases of 2-3 full episodes, but still had their titles?
This would have made a good selection:
The Muppet Review
Juliet Prowse
Rita Moreno
Harry Belafonte
The...
By that logic The Muppets' Wizard of Oz should have aired on NBC instead of ABC.
It is interesting, though, that Letters to Santa has not yet aired on any Disney-owned station, but aired two years in a row on NBC and last year aired on The CW.
I just watched episode 1854. As with the other classic episodes on iTunes (at least the ones I've seen) it's great. Interesting to see Snuffy sick. Also interesting that Maria and Linda (I think) seemed to believe that Snuffy might be real even if they think he's imaginary. Big Bird's line about...
There's a number of times when people claimed I said or did something I'm pretty sure I didn't do, especially right after they happened. Like one time, I did something I wasn't supposed to do. When my mom picked me up from the babysitter, I kept close watch to make sure my babysitter didn't tell...
At least they didn't just rerelease the season they're from with the missing episode, which would require fans to repurchase that season if they already had it. And at least they didn't just release a "complete series" set with those episodes on it, without the option of buying them seperately...
