I should have checked the book beforehand, but I checked, and I was wrong about who the quote was from. The quote was actually by Bob McGrath, who obviously wasn't in the segment. But then again, just because he wasn't in it doesn't mean he wasn't there to watch that day.
I'd like to know about the making of this segment. In the 40th anniversary book, somebody talked about the making of a segment that required many performers and a big set, they didn't say what scene it was, but I'd like to think it was this one. Can't remember whether the quote came from Kevin...
I wonder about that as well, but then the rerelease also had a Grover segment replaced with another segment. Don't know what was so wrong with the Grover segment.
But would a young Maria really be a problem? Rock & Roll and Dance Along both include a very young Gina, and as far as I know...
In my last post I was rating the various TMNT productions and video games, and now I wonder if it was unfair for me to give the entire 1987 series a 10. It's been a long time since I actually watched the series, and I'm pretty sure I didn't watch the last two seasons (though I do remember that...
Here's several great classic promos from the channel:

I think he was trying to eat Sam.
Too bad this episode came between the episodes where new performers were auditioning and when Louise Gold officially got hired. We only get two couples dancing there (in addition to Rowlf and Janice eventually dancing). I guess it's good that the patient was...
How would you rate the various TMNT productions?
Here's what I'd do, on a scale of 1-to-10, ten being the highest...
1987-1996 TV series - 10
1990 movie - 8
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II - 10
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III - 6
The Next Mutations - 4 (but I think I'd give their guest...
Actually, from what I remember about the syndication package I saw before Nickelodeon got the show, as well as on Cartoon Network, only the fifth season was shown with three R&B segments per episode (except the last, which had all four chapters of Moosylvania Saved), while the first two seasons...
I forgot about that. I remember reading about it, but never could figure out when it was on (yeah, I could have checked a TV listing or the official website, but whatever...). But I did catch a "Wossamatta U." marathon on the channel. In fact, I think Cartoon Network also had a marathon of all...
It was only as a line of toys called the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turltes Mutations". These figures were made so you could tranform the characters into their original forms and back. This line also included the four turtles being able to become ordinary turtles, and eventually it would include...
I think it's rare for there to be big announcements of shows being taken off the channels. Though when Mister Ed left Nick at Nite they did a special goodbye marathon, Au Revoir Mister Ed, and I think another show got a similar marathon when it left the channel (I'm thinking Donna Reed).
WGN...
I find it interesting that although almost every character from the original series got to be made as an action figure (and they also made action figures of characrters not in the series), they never released a human Baxter Stockman figure, and only released two of the four frogs (for a long...
