I think the issue is that the only people who would buy it are the folks posting in this thread - minus one.

Seeing SW on SS & MS made me think that anything was possible withing the confines of 21-inch screeny goodness!

... and they're gonna make Episdodes VII, VIII & IX... and thaw Walt Disney's head, and LOST season 3 end with a swashbuckling pirate scene, and Captain Crunch is replacing Jay Leno... By the way, I remember the death rumor being about Bert! :(

According to my memory the episodes would be new, but you saw the same skits, songs & mini-clips littered about everywhere. Or is it just me? :p

I'm holding out for Piggy & Fozzie! BTW, is that Kermit puppetable? I have a 1978 kermit puppet, He's actually not that bad for fisher price. I've heard that the new x-pensive kermit thing isn't a puppet - to which I say - what's the point (for me)?

It's a compilation! 7 hours! Besides, back in the day they repeated stuff daily. How many times do you want to see "smaallll vvvveeeeeeeeeee" ?

I REMEMBER THIS!!!!! I must have been about 4 or 5. I had loads of SW and SS toys which I'd pantomime along with the TV, etc. But this... It was like worlds colliding for me, much like the Muppet Show... (shaking) too... much... stimuli... can't... control... myself.... I think I flung...

Animal's drumset has "Dr. Teeth" on it. Clearly, he's the leader in The Muppet Movie too, don't forget. (The Muppet Movie mayhem scene is one of my all-time favourite muppet moments ever, with my favourite muppet song ever!) :D

Yes, I'm part of her current troupe. She is the kindest woman I have ever met. She's retired as far as tv goes, but the cast (her, Bob & Steve) still pop up around Almonte & the Ottawa area with other aux puppeteers for stuff. Bob is the one who got me in the agencey Muppet audition.

Well, that would be unfortunate if she were to lose a fan, but I'll reiterate this; things cost what they cost. It's unrealistic to expect a small run to compete with a major manufacturing label as far as units go. It's not like you can get these on amazon - they're owned independantly.

So is this basically an anti-technology rant? I mean on one hand you say you want it left alone, then you're saying that you want them to go back to being creative. Technology is just a tool. Much of today's effects tools are is still in relative infancy. I hear what you're saying to some...

Well, they were a troupe, like a family, I gather. It must have been very had for them after Jim passed, than Richard Hunt. Still, love in the hearts of the current production company for the characters - thats the key.
