I watched a couple episodes of Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. That should be self-explanatory...

It does not continue the original show. It is a reboot set in a different continuity. Thus Uncle Traveling Matt goes into Outer Space for the first time, the Gorgs are still trying to thump the Fraggles, and there's a different Doc with no mention of the original one.
