I wonder if when Carroll retires completely if they will leave the Mr. Hooper picture he drew in the nest. They probably will though.
I loved the relationship that Carroll had with Will Lee. I loved the story he told about the last time he saw Will Lee before he died. Will Lee never...
Also, this is the first I have heard about Jim Henson being insecure about singing. I know that Frank Oz was very insecure about singing as Miss Piggy in the beginning. I don't think he did all of her singing for the first movie. I do know that Dave Goelz was the one who was always shy about...
It just shows how different it is when you are singing as yourself or as another person.;) They say that people who can do a lot of voices are often great singers.
I think they are fine singers. I don't think Cookie Monster singing is the best example of Frank having a great singing voice, but I see what you mean. Whenever Frank performed Bert or Fozzie, his singing shined through more as they were not so brash and charactery. Jim Henson has a great...
Great ideas. I especially like the Dollhouse one. Very classic idea with Biff, Sully and Zoe with a good Sesame type gag at the end.
The Telly, Baby Bear and Herry idea is great too and a great way to bring in Herry Monster. Jerry Nelson never performs any of his regular characters on the...
When Cookie Monster was first introduced on Sesame Street, he was just a googly-eyed monster in a sketch with Ernie where Ernie was eating some cookies and milk. The only words that the monster said were "milk" and "cookies". From then on, he developed a sweet tooth and changed his name to The...
Yeah, Herry was just one of those big kids that wasn't aware of his own strengh or force. A lot of kids can relate to that. He was always there to help a friend though and he got along great with the kids that would visit hence why he was mostly seen doing talk spots.
Thanks. That was always my favorite moment from that special. Such a perfect ending. It is quite possibly one of, if not THE greatest quote from any Muppet project, in my personal opinion. He captures the spirit of Jim Henson quite well.
I would list just "Grandma Flutter" and then in your description say that she is Tutter's grandmother. I think people knowing that Tutter is a mouse will get it. Also would never put "The" at the beginning of any entry. For example "The Dragon" could just simply be "Dragon".
I have read that when the show began, Bob didn't really know how to play the character or what they wanted from the character. They told him to just be himself and that is exactly what he has been doing for 36 years!
Kermit Love (Willy) and Chet O'Brien (Macintosh) were also production people behind the scenes of the show. Love was a puppet builder and Macintosh was a stage hand. They were given these little roles to play also but they were never very major. I would love to see them again too, but don't...
I don't think Two Headed Monster was intended to say anything about siamese twins. I think they were just meant to be a comic relief. The way they would relate to each other and disagree and then finally cooperate, and then the times they would try to walk in opposite directions, it was funny...
