So I was browsing the toy aisles at Walmart the other day, and I found a new Elmo toy called "Elmo Goes to the Potty." I found it kind of disturbing, although I suppose it may help kids with potty-training.
It comes with a sippee cup and a potty. And Elmo says things like "Yay!!!! Elmo went...
I love game shows too! Where do I begin?
I still watch Wheel of Fortune most nights. I saw a live taping when I was 7. This was before the days when they showed the studio audience, but that day they had Pat and Vanna talking with announcer Charlie O'Donnell at the end, and the studio...
I believe the Monsterpiece Theater segment was called "The 39 Stairs," which is a spoof of the Hitchcock classic "The 39 Steps."
It used to freak me out too. I just got the creeps thinking how Grover had struggled up all those stairs only to find a brick wall. Like he was entombed or...
Yes, MC is a great way to relieve stress. I come here whenever I get a chance while I'm at work. (I don't have a computer at home). Work is usually no fun, and coming to the forum really makes it better.
Thanks to everyone here! :D
Well, I haven't seen it, but my local radio dj's were talking about it yesterday. They don't recommend it. I guess a character keeps saying "Get out......get out....." and one of the dj's said how they should have been saying "Get out...of the theater now......"
So that's what I know.
I was looking at a recent copy of the magazine "Newsweek," and there was a brief story about "Jeopardy!" champ Ken Jennings. He was pictured on Sesame Street with Grover and a pineapple muppet. However, there was no mention in the story about him appearing on Sesame Street, but why else would...
me too! me too!
I'm a lefty too. So is my mom and so is my husband. So I don't feel too weird, except when people notice it and make a big deal about it.
I can't do much with my right hand except things that I am forced to (like a use a mouse, etc.) I can't even eat with my right hand...
It seems to me that it's less educational now. Think of all the things that used to be covered in one episode. The letters and numbers used to have tons of different sketches. Now we get the number of the day mentioned once with The Count and the letter of the day once with Cookie Monster...
I got a guitar!!! Now I just have to learn how to play!
I also got:
-"A Christmas Story" t-shirt w/ a picture of Ralphie that says "You'll shoot your eye out!"
-the book "Postcards from the Boys" by Ringo Starr
-Simpsons Season 5 on DVD
-pajamas
-a sweater
-and more!
When I was a kid, I could never make it all the way through "Rudolph" or "The Grinch." I'd get way too scared! (I know, I was a major wimp.)
But now I enjoy both of those. I also now enjoy "Frosty the Snowman," which I never watched as a kid because it usually followed "Rudolph" and so...
What a perfect thread for me today. I've had just a yucky YUCKY day at work! At least now I know I'm not the only one who has bad days.
I really can't stand this job much longer. I don't mind the work I do so much, but the atmosphere is SO negative! I came this close to just walking out...
Things that stick out:
-Superbowl halftime show
-my first full year of marriage
-cooking both my first ham and first turkey
-joining Muppet Central
-becoming part of a church again
-a disappointing presidential election
