Even though it was never on PBS with the other shows (Sesame Street, Mister Rogers, etc...), the show that I really miss the most of all the "lost" shows is Sharon, Lois & Bram's Elephant Show. I adored them and I got a lot of their albums. I wish they were still doing things in the public...
Big Bird: Hey, Bryan! Whatcha reading?
Bry: Hey, Big Bird. It's a great book that Ed gave me as a birthday/Christmas present. That reminds me, I need to send this thank you note to him. (takes envelope and hands it to some delivery bats at the window to send to room #1 along with 2 other...
Why does everyone keep talking about Doc's age and just assuming he is incapable? It could be that he is physically vital. A person's age does not determine their capabilities. Give me some proof that he is ill or unhealthy and then I'll support your idea.
But what I meant in that last sentence was that it is interesting how in all the Muppet things we have seen, Floyd is the one who seems to take care of Animal as if he was a pet or something.
Well, the whole story behind the Gene Kelly episode was that he didn't want to perform. He just wanted to relax and watch the show. He seemed to really enjoy it too. My favorite parts were when Gene was standing offstage with a bag of popcorn and laughing hysterically at what was happening on...
Now, just to clarify, these are guests who just put on that they didn't want to be on the show, not the actor in real life disliking being in a Muppet production. Correct?
With that said, Gene Kelly didn't want to perform on the show. He just wanted to watch. Of course in the end, he gives in.
I think he is just like one of those typical little boys who like to catch dragonflies and pull their wings off. He thinks it's good play, but deep down I don't think he would ever want to kill anybody. He just likes to play.
My family has a cabin up in the mountains and when my brother and...
Just something I've observed about Floyd's role and memorable scenes. He had that whole scene in at the ghost town in Bunsen's lab when he took Animal for a walk. That was a pretty funny bit. Also, notice how Floyd seems to be the one most responsible for Animal.
Good question. Was that actually Carroll doing the unicycling? Cool. I wonder what things he will bring to the role when he takes over full time. I suppose it would be neat to see Big Bird skate again considering Vogel is young and is physically capable of having Bird do that stuff. I...
I would say Anything Muppets are those that sort of resemble a human, like Guy Smiley or Prairie Dawn. What-nots are just obscure creatures that don't really have an identifiable species, such as Beauregard or Mildred.
Does anyone happen to know anything about Jim Henson's New Mexico ranch or approximately where it is/was located? My college happens to be in Santa Fe, NM, and it would be great to go on a little adventure to find it.:)
