As long as Jerry Nelson is still alive and capable, I am sure he will be doing it. He could atleast just dub the voice and someone else could do the puppetry if needed. That was done a lot with his Muppet Show characters before he finally retired from them.
Why would they have the season 36 finale at the end of December and then wait almost a whole year before starting season 37? That makes no sense at all.
Its funny how some people say that Frank or Jim or Jerry constantly use the same voice for many of their characters, but I've still been able to pick out who the character is just by listening. It's true that Fozzie and Bert sound similar, but if you listen closer, they are very different...

I think that was one of the ongoing jokes about the Muppet Show. Like all these celebrity's agents got them stuck doing this bizarre show. It's equally as funny though when there are guests who seem to fit right in and even out-weird the Muppets. Ex: Peter Sellers, Ruth Buzzi. Ruth Buzzi...
