I never thought I or any Muppet fan would say this, but:
Bye-bye Kermit. The Dr. is in the house.
Final list:
1. Chef
2. Johnny Fiama
3. Janice
4. Dr. Julius T. Strangepork
(Cool! Four characters, four performers.)
Clifford may be cool, but when was the last time he sang something as powerful as "Monkeys In the Night"? Johnny Fiama is the second winner!
Final List:
1. Chef
2. Johnny Fiama
Oh, nooooo.. I have the hardest choice in Muppet history: Bunsen or Chef? I'll be honest with you, I like Beaker a whole lot more than Bunsen, and I have the Chef's song memorized. So, unfortunately, I must throw out Bunsen. So, our first finalist: The Swedish Chef! And here he is to thank us...
Fifth out: The Fozster. I never was a huge fan of Frank's characters, except for my all time favorite Muppet- Sam Eagle.
Scooter
Rizzo the Rat
Next Group: Electric Mayhem
It's actually easier for me to list the characters I do have than the ones I need, because I only have 9! So, I have these and need everybody else:
Beau
Janice (chase)
Newsman
Sam (shifty eyed)
Pops
Frog Scout Robin
Dr. Van Neuter
Captain Abraham Smollet
Jim Henson (Palisades Direct)...
Yeah, like, fer sher, roelly...
Same thing goin' on with me. Beau, Dee and.. (drumroll please)... HPDJ are my favorites. And I'm not saying that just to make you feel good. I love making polls same as you do.
I must vote on the Electric Mayhem, and somebody will kill me for this, but Animal- you gotta go. You always just annoyed me too much. Word of the wise to the EM: You need a new drummer.
The remaining:
Teeth
Zoot
Janice
Floyd Pepper
Lips
Next voting group: Muppet Scientists and Other...
The way this poll works is that it is similar to the one started by HPDJ (and a fine poll it was indeed) except it uses "group" voting. You can see the groups below. Each time, delete ONE person from the group after the one voted on before. So, if I put in the first vote, and the first group is...
Here goes with "Phantom of the Opera":
Phantom- Uncle Deadly
Christine- Janice
Raoul- Kermit
Madame Giry- Mildred Huxetter
Firmin and Andre- Statler and Waldorf
Meg Giry- Zelda
The Phantom's Candles- Gonzo's Nose
La Carlotta- Piggy
I am the Phantom of the Muppet Forums, and dpurves, you have done some very nasty things. You evicted three of my favorite Muppets- Bunsen, Janice and Sam!
No, just joking. They ARE my three faves tho'...
How about as a new forum, "Best Muppet TV Show" or "Worst Muppet Film." I think if...
I don't say it wouldn't. I think Frank coming back to direct a Muppet movie could be the only way to get him re-involved, but if he did come back, we might have another disaster of "TMTM" proportions- I HATED that film.
I don't think Bowfinger was amazing or anything, I think it was fairly...
GelflingWaldo, don't be so bloody serious.
I've posted a newer, better, more complete edition of this pipe dream of mine over in the Classic Muppets forum. If it happened, I think any Muppet fan would fall down of shock.
I REALLY REALLY REALLY want MT! on DVD, and this could be the only...
I hate MTM, and so I didn't include it. It could possibly be included if the Disney company is so inclined.
Pricing for a 4-disc box varies, depending on the company. I can tell you this: the 4-disc "Home Impovement S1" is about $50 in Canada, and so you Statesters would be able to afford it.
I posted this on an earlier thread, but I've made some slight improvements on it. I know a release of this size would require some massive undertakings and deals between Sesame Workshop, Disney, Columbia and HIT. Although this release will probably never happen, it's a nice pipe dream. The set...

It has become clear that, for whatever reason, Frank Oz does not want to come back to the Muppets. He has directed some great movies like "The Stepford Wives" and "Bowfinger" but he will never have the success he did with the Muppets. I honestly do not understand why he doesn't want to come...
