Believe me, man, you do NOT want the winters I get. For three winters in a row now, we've had three feet of snow. This may not be so bad, but we get it all in one day!
Lucky you, Dale. Here in NS, we never get anybody!
Still though, I've met:
Lead singer of Great Big Sea
Bill Clinton
All the members of a strange group known as "Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers" (www.buddywasisname.com)
Idiotic story about my father.
In Newfoundland where he grew up at 16, the winters are torrential. Snowbanks often exceeded five feet in height. (I'm 5'9''- this could be interesting!) While playing with some friends at 16, somebody came barrelling down the street in a car. My father, like a...
I've come up to 700 posts in the extremely short time that I've been here. This fact begs the question: Do I need a life, or what?
This question practically demands the answer: "Do you want me to stop, or what?"
Of course, this reinforces the first question. Moving right along...
MrsPepper: Any idea where I might be able to get some videos or DVDs of Today's Special? I used to love that show! I would watch it at 7:30 every morning. It was my favorite show on TV at the time, and I've not seen it in 6 or 7 years! I'd love to see that show again.
The episode I...
I'm significantly changing my list.
Hands down my fav is now Kelly (aka HeraLirambar), mainly because she's crazy as I am, and in part because she's a pagan like my buddy Brogan. Oh, and she seems to be one of our more friendly members.
Second is MWoO. He (or maybe she? I dunno) seems to...
One puppet show that I remember watching religiously as a kid was called "Today's Special." It involved a mannequin in a department store that would come to life every night when a magic hat was placed on his head by store clerk Jody. The puppets were old man Sam the security guy, who would sit...
Let's examine Mr. Hill's errors, shall we?
Disney did NOT do the script for this film. It was announced and written long before the buyout occurred.
He couldn't be more wrong if he tried. If the Muppets are indeed "all washed up" and "yesterday's news" as he says, why are there so many...
Here in Nova Scotia, we have possibly the oddest weather anywhere. So, we get great sun after two weeks of rain, and we just had a tiny rainshower. What's your weather like?
I can try to kill 'em, but I just don't have the heart! Heh heh...
Seriously though my grades are usually pretty good. I just finished studying for Math (my first exam) and had previously completed two of my subjects (Music History and English), and so I'm pretty good.
My school lets us...
Whoops! Hey, wha'hapnd? Well, I'll say Labyrinth and TMM then. Why? Labyrinth due to the extravagant set design and grandeur of the whole thing; TMM because of the music and the humor.
When you go to a private school up in Canada, your whole life can change. I still consider myself lucky- the public schools here get out sometime near June 30th.
I've exams coming up over the next week. I have five: Math, Science, Music, English, and Social Studies. Each is too long, too hard, and without enough time to properly complete the exam. They start on Monday, and end on Friday. I get out of school on the 16th. Wish me luck!
Kirk is a lackluster director. He can't seem to squeeze comedy whereever it's available, like BRIAN (hint hint) could. If we were to get BRIAN (hint hint) back as a director, we might have a great, hilarious, classic, theatrical Muppet movie. I suggest a demonstration right outside the Disney...
