Well in that case, as Kermit would say "the show must go on":)
and with that, here's my contribution:
Season 6: 1974 (don't know the ep number)
1.The Count has climbed up to the top of the Sesame Street lamp-post so he can count all the lights on the street as they come on.
2.Exit...
MuppetDude,
Well, maybe the mods will be nice and just make you sit in the corner for a "time out" instead:D
Actually, I was going to reply with a follow up message saying that I'd be happy to help you out, because I think a database like this would be a good thing to have. But I got...
Re: does anyone???
Interesting.
As for me, I can never look at any muppet featured production without remembering that he's dead. This is even more acute when I'm watching any post 1990 muppet feature and I hear the voices of not only Kermit, Ernie and Rowlf, but now Scooter's and...
He is indeed. If I'm not mistaken, he's now pushing 70 and he's still performing Big Bird and Oscar as he has been since the show began. Howver, it looks as though he dosen't plan on doing it much longer since he seems to be gradually "breaking in" Matt Vogel as his long term replacement, who...
Actually, I heard someone suggest that as part of Sesame Street's long tradition of celebrity cameos, they should have Sarah Michelle Gellar make a guest appearance on one of the "number of the day segments" with the Count! :) ....Now THAT would be something to remember. And it would be...
Sorry, I'm a bit confused. Are we talking ordinary, garden variety upholstery foam here, or reticulated(sp?) foam. From what I've heard, the latter is the kind professionals use, regarding upholstery foam as "junk foam". Though I know of no places in my area where this professional quality foam...
But most of it's NOT going to appear in any future episodes of the show. That's my point. If I thought there was a good chance it were, I'd have no complaint and I'd be taping the show every day. But most of that footage hasn't been shown in years and probably never will be, for one reason or...
This is something that's been brought up here before, and though I'd love to see this done, I personally don't think it's going to happen. The first time it was brought up was, I think about a year or so ago when Noggin changed their format and it became clear that Sesame Street Unpaved was...
This kind of thing has been suggested in the past and I can tell you that campaigns like these are usually a waste of time and effort. While we have no real way of knowing just how large the Muppet fan base is, I think it's pretty safe to assume that we're relatively small, even on a world wide...
Not that I think this would be an easy thing to do by any means and I'll probably get some folks wondering about my sanity for asking this, but I'm going to ask anyway just out of sheer curiosity:
Has anyone here ever attempted to make a full body sized puppet like Big Bird or the bear from...
Mike,
I see you're a fellow British Columbian like myself! (Surrey...UGH!...just kidding!:p )
I have to answer your question with a little bit of bad news:
Sesame Street Unpaved can only be seen -- as you now know -- on Noggin, a channel which is only available on U.S DTH systems which...
It does indeed! Thanks *Secret* Squirrel for your reply...and I agree with others here that some things are best kept secret...and I've always love a good mystery, anyway!;)
All of this is very true of course. But consider:
Jerry Nelson -- in his late 60s and still an involved performer. I thought he couldn't still be performing the Count on last season for the 'number of the day' segments on Sesame Street, but I've since (happily) been proven wrong.
Caroll...
Geez, seems like I started a little fireworks show with this one...I didn't think it would be taken so seriously... just a little humour as an aside:cool:
Someone living in Fozzie's Finger??
OMG:(
Source of inspiration?
I HOPE it's not what I'm thinking:
Remember what movie these lines are from:
"Redrum...Redrum...Redrum..."
"All Work And No Play Makes Jack a Dull Boy"
"Heeeeere's Johnny!"
OK, seriously I think I should...
If I recall, one of the last things Jim Henson made clear shortly before his death was that he was not enthusiastic about the idea of Disney owning ANY of the muppets. I forget exactly what his reasons were, but he made his views well known when it looked like an option for JHC.
And could we...
I think the reason they were so enjoyable was because they didn't do them very often. If they did them TOO often then the novelty of them would have worn off. But that's a moot point now because those crossovers are a thing of the past now that the muppet family has been "split up", for lack of...
