Thanks Buck. I like the one about the tripods. I'm not sure that they will support the size of my stage though being made of $5 to $7 projector stands but that would make a great smaller stage. I've taken the plans for OWS's largest stage and plans I bought from VIP for their stage and combined...
I'm in the process of building a very large stage. I'd very much like to have the stage so very versital that I could make it almost any size and shape in only moments. I have a plan but it would involve some sort of locking pins so I could slide one pipe inside of another. Sort of the same...
hey I'll testify to Buck's warning of gloves when using super 77. I've been trying to get it off my hands for 3 days now! I use it to stick the fleece of my puppets eyelids to the eyes and a few other things. But mostly so far I use primarily contact cement for foam felt and fleece...
:smirk: hm cool idea. ...thrifty. Puppet building doesnt really make much money so I suppose you have to really use your noodle to save a buck anywhere you can.
I've heard many people say while the foam book is a great reference, they don't care for the 3 peice method. I wonder why (Since I...
I don't remember where the post was but someone had posted a link to a picture of their puppet and it was a OWS adapted deign, They stated something about not being able to figure out what it was that was being asked of them in the instructions. Just wanted to let everyone know that although...
Welcome the the MCForum! I'm still pretty new here myself but everyone has been very kind and helpful. So do you do any puppetry ofr are you just a fan of JHC?
OK Great! I wasn't apposed to having to wait like the rest of you. I just was a bit nervous that maybe he wasn't in business any longer and I didn't wish to get my hopes up if he wasn't still making kits. Thanks for the update I should be ordering at least the video in about a week. I'm...

P.S.
Just my preference but I have never used hot glue on a puppet. Thanks so much for the tips. I'm trying to find those doll joints that puppet planet posted on her web tutorial for removable rod arms also. If I can find em I will make a pocket in the hands and make them just like she did more...
OK I think I know what you mean. I'm giving it a shot. Gonna build a set of arms just like you showed in your tutorial tomarrow morning. I'd love very much for your constructive criticism when I post the picks if you dont mind and find the time. I'm also using the dowel rod arm thing you did...
In cutting ping pong balls and such apart (although I like to use the whole ball mostly) I found that a band saw or scroll saw works very well. Then you can cut the ball very smoothly across the seam. Be very careful as to not cut your fingers at the seam as well. OUCH!!!
Oh and by all...
Floyd always kinda freeked me out cause I use to think he had no eyeballs. His sunglasses looked to me like eye sockets. I could have sworn he would even blink his empty eye sockets which just made me wanna vomit. Actually I only just found out recently that those were sunglasses and not eye...
