I've seen many PVC stages that I didn't care for really. I don't like a stage that allows the pipes to show on the ends. The pattern should allow for material to hide the pipes completely. I've seen plastic fold up stages that were made into many designs. This is great if you never plan to...
What do you use to brush contact cement on to foam and/or fleece and other things? I sometimes use scrap foam if I'm dobbing but those little acid brushes is what I use if its a long straight edge. The problem is they can only be used once.
I got a call last night from pick-me.com. They told me that they have pulled the kits and anything ArmsLength from their shelves. The site I posted with the 5 kits is no longer selling those kits. Sounded like a cool way for Dave to make out on his design and not have to worry so much...
My Foam Book and The Foam Book video series are on the way. I don't expect my ArmsLength stuff to arrive for another month. I did get a "Thank You" letter stating that he received my payment so thats good.
Yep. Thanks once again Buck. I for one am very glad I was wrong about this one.
Back to feathers...... My Mom sells those ornimental chickens and just told me last night that the east coast is under an anything poultry quarantine. She said I wouldn't be able to have feathers shipped here from...
Very nice puppet! I especially liked the mug shot you have of the apprehended critter responsible for chewing the old blanket that later became said puppet. :attitude: Also suspected of attempted homicide of your father. !! Doesn't appear to feel much remorse for his criminal acts.
I didn't think you could sell those puppets without giving Dave a % of the sale for his creation. I know many designers require that you return a portion back to them because they retain the rights to thier design. Actually I'm hoping I have just misunderstood how it works. I don't know for sure...
This is a good site. http://angelfire.lycos.com/doc/faq/newcomer/ Its what I use. I posted this http://www.angelfire.com/comics/puppetbuilder/ in just an hour and I'd never setup a site before at all. I didn't even know the diference between a web page and a web site. My point is they make it...
Hey Trent. If you wouldn't mind, post a few pics of his hands and body after youv'e finished picking the rest of his seams ok? Really looks GREAT what you've done already. You made it look easy.
LOL thats where I got my large stage design mostly from. That and the see throw curtain I put on the front 3 panels. I got that idea from VIP stage. Those patterns from OWS are the nicest looking stages I've seen yet. That's why I started this thread. I wanted to know if there is anything out...
*shakily laughs* I just ordered my kit and videos so I don't think he's stopped production altogether. The premade puppets haven't been for sale for a while now.
I typed in David Pannabecker's name in MSN and got a serch page with "pick-me.com on it. It sparked my interest because of following this thread and so I checked it out and found 5 puppet kits instead of the four you have seen in the past on his site. http://www.pick-me.com/puppets/pup5.htm
I put Dave's name in MSN search engine and it was on the first page of results. Not sure but I think you can order the black guy now through them at least.
oh I found that the Pick-me place Iron fan was talking about does have Dave's Kits and videos. http://www.pick-me.com/puppets/pup5.htm they mentioned something about there being a series of videos. Is there more than one video when you order or what did they mean by that I wonder?
That is one incredibly cool looking puppet Trent!:excited: I can't wait to see the rest of him. a few questions: Why do so many people use ostrich feathers for puppet hair? (not that its a problem just wondered) and secondly, what kind of material is Ardy's skin made of? it doesn't look like...
I will check out prices for tubing because that might be the way to go. One thing I like about OWS's PVC stage is that its made with 1 1/2" PVC pipe which just looks soooo much more sturdy than the thinner stuff. And it has to be that thick just because of the length of curtain that is being...
Do you have an email address you can post Trent?
I just ordered both the armslength video and kit C as well as the foam book video series and book. Its alot of money forked out but the end result will be some great puppets (I hope)
